That's the problem with England, there's a lack of diving, we didn't see it in New Zealand, I'm not sure the last time I saw some quality diving and this is going to be important in close games.

Capsey run out 1 (Eng 122-5)

    Well, Alice Capsey can't...

Jones pushes a ball down to the third boundary, Capsey doesn't make swift running from the non-striker's end and in the end she's well short of her ground.

A sudden turnaround in fortunes for Pakistan, but England may have already done enough to post a competitive total.

Soft dismissal for Heather Knight, there wasn't much oomph behind it, it needed some muscle. Absolutely the right shot but a lack of power and acceleration behind it.

    Knight c Baig b Dar 12 (Eng 120-4)

Another wicket falls! This time it's the captain!

England have two new batters at the crease in Alice Capsey and Amy Jones - can they keep the momentum up?

It was a needed catch for them, Danni Wyatt frustrated, she know she could've got her 100 but what a brilliant innings, started off slowly and started to accelerate and that's what England are about.

Plenty of people are standing among the crowd to applaud Danni Wyatt from the field.

She had some luck, obviously, but there was also supreme ball-striking.

Wyatt scored 45 from her last 16 balls.

    Wyatt c Shamas b Baig 87 (Eng 118-3)

    Wyatt goes!

She'd been living a bit of a blessed life over the past over or so as she tried to push the rate, surviving a third dropped catch as Sadaf spilled a chance running in from deep cover.

The fielder made no mistake two balls later, holding on from another lofted shot. Between those two balls Wyatt had slammed a leg-side shot over the boundary to bring herself to 87. Not quite a century, but an excellent return to form.

Pakistan reintroduce the pace of Fatima Sana to try and break this partnership. She drops one very short and Wyatt gets up on her tiptoes to lift the ball to the third boundary. Lovely uppish cut.

Knight sends a single down to long-on to bring up the fifty partnership, and then Wyatt gets a life as Aliya Riaz can't complete a grab at mid-off.

Danni Wyatt really impresses me, she's completely changed her game, she's brought in the sweep and now when that square leg fielder comes up, she sweeps it. The way she's adapted her game over the past couple of years gives her more boundaries to score from.

  10. Eng 101-2published at 12 overs

Wyatt comes on strike and immediately gets going again, driving Sadia Iqbal for consecutive fours. The first evades long-off, the second goes straight down the ground.

Heather Knight then brings up England's hundred, pushing Iqbal's penultimate ball into the covers for a single.

  11. Eng 89-2published at 11 overs

    Wyatt's on a roll.

She sends a full toss square for another boundary, runs two just to change things up, then finds four again in the covers as the deep fielder mucks up and lets the ball run onto the ropes.

20 runs off the over, all Wyatt's - a turning point in the match?

Big risk there for Danni Wyatt, just goes over Fatima Sana who shimmies over trying to get there, a big old heave over long arm and just gets over.

    Eng 79-2

That's the way to advance to 50!

Danni Wyatt advances down the wicket to Nida Dar and crashes her over the long-on boundary for six. There's a fielder posted there, standing right on the rope - I'm not sure any catch would have counted - but it flies over her head.

Wyatt then sweeps the following ball to bring up the landmark - a great turnaround after a poor run of form.

    Thanks Tom.

    Nicely balanced this.

Waheeda Akhtar's struggles continue as she serves up a juicy full toss that Heather Knight pummels away for a one-bounce four.

Akhtar had overstepped too so it is a free hit, though Knight looks up to the heavens in frustration as she can only push away fine for a single.

That helps England reach 69-2 at the halfway point, with Pakistan well in this contest.

It is time for me to take a break. Here to guide you through the rest of the England innings is Mike Peter.

Alice Capsey was down as number three but is still nowhere to be seen. Instead it is the skipper Heather Knight who strides out to huge applause.

England have a bit of work to do here.

Massive wicket for Pakistan, getting out the key batting of Sciver-Brunt going for that reverse sweep and it flies away, an easy catch.

    Sciver-Brunt c Ameen b Dar 8 (Eng 59-1)

Three balls later - and Nat Sciver-Brunt is on her way!

It was a reverse-sweep this time that Sciver-Brunt can only loop up to Sidra Ameen, who takes a smart catch low at backward point.

Another setback for England. Pakistan are jubilant.

Clever from Sciver-Brunt, she's not been timing the ball all that well today but she was able to time that hit nicely.

    Nida DarImage source, PA Media

Nida Dar, the leading wicket-taker in women's T20 internationals, enters the fray.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is not perturbed that record though as she plays a lovely delicate reverse paddle shot away fine for four.

    Great technique.
