Those soft tyres have done their day's work. Lewis Hamilton is in and bolts on a set of hard tyres, rejoining the rest of the field in 13th place.
Charles Leclerc is being praised for his job on the brakes by his engineer but the Monegasque driver responds with a less-than-confident message, saying they are reacting "completely differently".

The day is over for Alex Albon. The Williams man switches everything off and is being pushed back into the garage by the mechanics.
Meanwhile, Lando Norris is 11 seconds clear of Max Verstappen in the Red Bull, with Lewis Hamilton still tootling away on his soft compound in the Mercedes.

The car peels off and it looks like Alex Albon is heading back to the pits. He was passed by Daniel Ricciardo in the RB on the medium tyre and was losing ground on the Australian quite sharply.

Sixth place is still in the hands of Nico Hulkenberg but the Haas driver is on the team radio to say he is "sliding around like hell" now on his medium tyres.
Lando Norris leads Max Verstappen by eight seconds now, surpassing his target set by McLaren a few laps earlier.
