When approaching TVS cycling club for a picture their response was, "will you make us famous?"
Well here goes... congratulations to Kay, James, Frank and Richard after a hard but thoroughly enjoyable 100 miles in the saddle.
100 miles in 100 words
We challenged some of today's inspiring riders to tell us - in 100 words - why they're doing RideLondon and what the event means to them.
First up is Spencer's incredible story of friendship, surprise and support...

100 miles is a long time to deliberate how you're going to cross the finish line.
This guy has nailed the 'mini-woop' celebration move 🙋♂️
No, not the riders' numbers - but the variety of riders' ages taking part.
Here's a little insight into who we've got out there.......
It just goes to show that cycling is suitable for all ages, so why not see how you can get involved with the Get Inspired guide?

And our woman on the course has taken a quick break as well...
I'm 21 miles into the 46-mile ride and there is a welcome sight of portable toilets, snacks and water at one of the pit stops along the routes at Richmond Park.
There are bikes strewn everywhere as everyone queues for the loo or had a well earned nibble of something sweet!
Proud moment for young Molly who has been cheering on her dad 🎉🎉
Time to head to the Mall to ring that cow bell as he crosses the finish line!
Rain hat ✔️
Wellington boots ✔️
Marmalade sandwiches ✔️
It may not be his preferred mode of transport, but this little Paddington bear is up for the challenge!
Let us know what mascot you've got riding with you today 🐻🐱🐶

Former Ireland international rugby player Rob Henderson is sharing today's challenge with friend David Clein.
...And he'll be sporting this magnificent helmet along the way!
How it all started...
And here's how two sons helped their dad with his health problems through cycling....
Geoff Whitington was 20 stone, on crutches with type 2 diabetes and in danger of losing his foot through Charcot foot - a serious complication of diabetes.
That's when his sons decided they needed to do something, dug his bicycle out of the shed and started getting him on the move.
Geoff went on to complete the 2013 RideLondon 100-mile ride and says to anyone "get yourself a bike and just give it a go".
This year his sons, Anthony and Ian, challenged themselves to 'Fix' more people like their dad. More on that later...

Talking of families, we promised you some more action from yesterday....
The Jayasingha family from Kingston had cycled 10 miles from home - just to join Saturday's FreeCycle ride in the centre of London.
They were sheltering from a rain shower at an event zone in Green Park when I caught up with them.
Dad Karl, who had recently completed the Dunwich Dynamo night ride, said: "Lally and Luca have done the freecycle a number of times but for the first time we've cycled all the way from home so they are feeling really proud of themselves."
And rightly so... just the 10 miles home to go!
And this lot look like they started well in formation so let's hope they stick together...
Who better to share the RideLondon challenge with than your nearest and dearest? 👨👧👦
This trio of riders will definitely have some stories to tell at the dinner table tonight!

I wonder if Sir Chris Hoy and Nicola Adams will be finishing together like this later?
Brilliant camaraderie on display by two of the riders out there.
It can't be easy to keep track of your starting buddy through 100 miles of cycling! 👬🚴🚴
#RideLondon
It's as if he heard us...
Don't be surprised if you see some familiar faces joining Nicola Adams on the ride today. Athletes, singers and TV presenters have got on their bikes and will test their bodies to the limit.
Here's who you might spot:
See if you can spot them in their lycra and send us you selfies with them via #RideLondon on social media!
Now you'd think that Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams wouldn't need to build up that extra strength......
In the lead up to today Nicola Adams surprised some students in Sheffield by joining one of their spinning training sessions.
Like Adams, none of the students have embarked on a cycling challenge like this before and its clear that whether you are an elite boxing champion or a student of acedamia, setting yourself the RideLondon 46 challenge is intense!
Good luck guys.
Now if you want to be like those two, you're going to need to be fit and we've got some tips from our friends at British Cycling to help you which we'll be posting through the day....
When it comes to endurance cycling, strength is key.
Simple but effective, the stiff leg deadlift works the hamstring, glutes and hip hinges.
Find out the correct way to do this exercise from the experts at British Cycling.

And we've already got our first finishers....
They set off at 05:45am this morning and after just shy of four hours on the bike, the first two riders have crossed the finished line.
What an achievement 🏅🏅
And it's not just the riders who need to make sure they're properly fuelled up for a long day.
An early start calls for an energy boosting snack - and a banana is an excellent choice 🍌👍
