Brilliant from Peter Wright. An 11-darter. He lands another max and then finishes on double top first dart.

He needs just two more legs now.

Wright hits his second maximum but misses two darts at double six.

Thornton keeps his head and takes out double 10. Scrappy, but Thornton now only trails by two.

If you missed it earlier, here's Phil Taylor's incredible last leg as he finishes with his sixth maximum followed by a 120 outshot to beat Michael van Gerwen and make it through to the semi-finals.

Is this the start of a comeback?

Thornton is just about clinging on here. He takes out double nine, never easy, and the players go to a break.

Peter Wright just looks so steady up there. He hits a couple of 140s before finishing on double 12.

Thornton has a mountain to climb here.

That's better from Robert Thornton. The world number seven finally wins a leg - taking out double 14.

He doesn't look particularly happy with life at the moment though.

It's just not happening for Robert Thornton. The Scot lands one inside the wire at double 18 and Peter Wright steps in to finish, you guessed it, double top.

That's cool finishing from Peter Wright. He misses a couple at double 20, but re-composes himself and takes out double 10.

Thornton just isn't scoring heavily enough to stay in touch.
