  2. What is the UK Open?published at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

If you didn't know already, it's the FA Cup of Darts.

On Friday, 158 players began the tournament - with their stages of entry depending on their ranking.

The top 32 players in the world, for example, had byes until round four.

Unlike most darts tournaments which are seeded to keep the top players apart in earlier rounds, this competition has a random draw after every round - just like the FA Cup.

Heard the one about two Englishmen, an Australian and a Belgian walking into a big marquee bar?

You'll have to wait a couple of hours for the punchline though - as the destination of darts' UK Open trophy is decided tonight at Butlin's in Minehead.

World champion Luke Humphries is among the four players remaining.

Can he add more silverware to his bulging trophy cabinet or will Ricky Evans, Damon Heta or Dimitri Van den Bergh deny the world number one?

World number one Luke Humphries strolled through against Stephen Bunting - and he'll be the favourite to lift the title when we see you right back here at 19:00 GMT.

Dimitri Van den Bergh, speaking to ITV4 about facing close friend and former housemate Damon Heta in the semi-finals:

"Damon has just done a remarkable job against Luke Littler so I hope I can be the same quality against him in the semi-finals.

"I said from the start of this year, for me it was about self-growth and discipline. How am I doing it? My sports psychologist.

"I'm learning a lot about myself and feeling stronger, more in control and less nervous - that was always my Achilles heel, being nervous.

"Now I am more focused what I can do and not on my opponent - I love Damon to bits, he's the uncle DeeDee to my little girl but I want to win some money for my family."

So it's world number one Luke Humphries, compatriot Ricky Evans, Australia's Damon Heta and Belgium's Dimitri Van den Bergh left to tussle it out tonight for the UK Open trophy.

There will be a new name on the trophy this year - but whose will it be?

  12. GAME! SHOT! AND THE MATCH!published at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    Lukeman 5-10 Van den Bergh

    And DVDB only needs one.

Belgium's finest missed a few doubles in that quarter-final but hit them when he really needed to - and Martin Lukeman pays the price for that slow start that saw him slip 4-0 down.

It's been a fine tournament for the Englishman but it's Van den Bergh who completes our semi-final line-up.

    Lukeman 5-9 Van den Bergh

Van den Bergh misses the bullseye in what would have been a spectacular way to win the match...

But he'll get two darts at double eight...

  14. Lukeman stays in the matchpublished at 16:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    Lukeman 5-9 Van den Bergh

But the Belgian misses three darts at double top.

Both players taking an age to compose themselves before throws at the minute.

But Lukeman shows his opponent where tops is as he lands it first dart to stay in the match.

    Lukeman 4-9 Van den Bergh

Dimitri Van den Bergh wastes a dart at tops to win the match - but Martin Lukeman busts 52 by hitting treble 20!

Double 14 from the Belgian and this one is over bar the shouting.

  17. Van den Bergh ahead by fourpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    Lukeman 4-8 Van den Bergh

Martin Lukeman beat Gary Anderson yesterday on his way to the quarter-finals and he's going to need to rediscover that form to turn this match around.

But 180s from Dimitri Van den Bergh won't aid his cause - and neither will another last-dart-in-hand double from the Belgian who hits 16s to open up a four-leg lead.

  18. Postpublished at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    Lukeman 4-7 Van den Bergh

Both players averaging in the low 90s here, which is respectable but nothing more.

Dimitri Van den Bergh's throw comes under some pressure but a well-timed 134 leaves double 18.

The first two efforts are miles away - but the third one lands, a real dagger blow to Martin Lukeman, who was sat on 44, awaiting his chance.

  19. Van den Bergh regains initiativepublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

A huge 'come on' from Van den Bergh as he takes out a 76 finish with double 18 to just halt that resurgence from Martin Lukeman.

The Belgian remains on top at the second mini-break.

  20. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    Lukeman 4-5 Van den Bergh

A brilliant 177 from the Belgian piles the pressure on Lukeman before both players miss three darts each at doubles.

But it's Lukeman who takes out double five to close within a leg. The 38-year-old Englishman was 4-0 down, remember.
