    Women's 10,000m backstroke

GB's Alice Tai, who won bronze in the women's S10 100m backstroke, has been speaking to Channel 4.

She said: "I didn't expect to qualify at the start of the year, so it's crazy to win a bronze.

"It's insane - I look up to (race winner) Sophie Pascoe and the others so much, so to be on the podium with her later is a dream come true.

"I'm rooming with Ellie Robinson and she came back yesterday with the medal and the whole apartment was celebrating."

Ian Williams, reporting in the Aquatics Centre: "Andrew Mullen won't be smiling after finishing fourth in the men's 50m butterfly S5 but there was a lighter moment before the start of the race.

"With pretty much all the competitors on their blocks, an official had to run across to Slovakia's Darko Duric to remind him that he still had his headphones on top of his cap.

"It brought a laugh out of the crowd, and a round of applause. Duric took it in good heart while I saw several of the other swimmers chuckling.

"Are you supposed to laugh just seconds before a Paralympic final? And what was he listening to? Must have been good."

A strong start from the young teenager Tai as she was second at the turn but fell back to third at the finish. Still a good effort!

Tai, who's still only young at 17, couldn't quite keep up with the New Zealand favourite Sophie Pascoe who takes gold.

Hungary's Pap Bianka stormed past Tai with 25m to go to take silver but Tai looks very happy to be going home with at least one medal.

She'll try to upgrade from that colour on Monday when she lines up for the S10 100m butterfly.

Dame Sarah Storey missed out on another Paralympic medal, finishing fourth in the women's C4-5 500m time trial.

She tells BBC Radio 5 live: "I'm not disappointed at all. I fully expected what has happened. I won in London because the sprinters didn't run their 'A' game. I was on my best time. I'm over the moon with my time. It's absolutely brilliant.

"It's incredible from Kadeena. She fully deserved it."

Storey finished fourth after Kadeena Cox broke the world record for gold.

He lifted 180kg in his first attempt, which ended up as his best effort. Yule was competing in Group A, and with Group B cancelled, this effectively became the medal contest.

Nigeria's Paul Kehinde claimed the top prize, though, breaking world and paralympic records with a lift of 220kg. China's Hu Peng took silver, with Egypt's Shaaban Ibrahim bronze.

BBC Sport's Paralympics reporter in Rio

There is agony and ecstasy as a family member supporting a Paralympian in Rio - just ask the Rolfe family.

Son Louis won a surprise, according to them, bronze in Friday's C2 individual pursuit event and went again in Saturday's C1-2-3 kilo, eventually finishing sixth but setting a new personal best on the way.

The family party of mum and dad Lynsey and Mark, sister Holly, grandma Sue, great aunt Jan and Mark's mate (as it says on the t-shirt) John were all at the velodrome to cheer on the 19-year-old, who has cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus, and he gave them a cheeky thumbs-up after the race.

"I'm always nervous but I'm also so proud of what he has overcome to get here," Lynsey told me. "We always encouraged him to do sport but London 2012 was a real catalyst for him and he has shown such commitment.

"As a family we are humbled and thrilled to be here."

Sunday will be another big day for the Rolfe family with Louis part of the team sprint team along with Jody Cundy and Jon-Allan Butterworth.

She says: "The 100m is my favourite event, my strongest. I was pretty dead certain. I'm a little upset with the time.

"I was going for the world record all season. I was a tenth of a second away from it! But I came for the gold, and I've got the gold - I'm happy."

    Men's T53 400m heats

Mickey Bushell looks tired and disappointed as he misses out on the chance to compete for a medal in the T53 400m heats.

A lacklustre start followed by a laboured finish sees the Telford man finish fifth in 54.02 seconds.

But what a Paralympic debut Thailand's Paeyo Pongsakorn is having at the age of 19.

A silver medal in the 100m yesterday and now he's the fastest qualifier in the 400m with a new PB of 48.38 seconds.

Cox to spark a culture change for black cyclists?published at 23:03 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

Kadeena Cox wins women's C4-5 500m time trial gold

    Nick Hope
BBC Sport's Paralympics reporter in Rio

I really think Kadeena Cox's success could start a seismic shift in Paralympic as well as Olympic cycling and encourage more black athletes to try the sport.

Given the obvious sprint power many black athletes are able to generate in track and field events I know there are many in cycling who feel it would be a natural shift.

To date I think it's been a cultural problem - much like we've seen traditionally in swimming which is dominated by white athletes.

However, that has begun to change in recent Games and in particular the Rio Olympics where USA's Simone Manuel became the first black African American woman to win an individual Olympic swimming gold.

Will cycling be the next sport to benefit from a change in views and attitudes towards old 'traditions' in sport?
