    Ellie Simmonds - four Paralympic gold medals already and she's only 21 - into the pool next.

    She finishes second in her S6 50m freestyle heat in 36.44 seconds, well behind winner Yelyzaveta Mereshko of Ulraine who clocked 33.56.

    Next up is 15-year-old Ellie Robinson, who didn't get long to celebrate last night's gold medal...

    Confirmation that Sascha Kindred didn't make the final of the S6 men's 50m freestyle. 

    The six-time Paralympic gold medallist tells Channel 4 his main focus is the 200m individual medley, which has its heats and final on Monday.

    There are six British men in action in Paratriathlon today - world and European champion Andy Lewis in the PT2 event, along with Ryan Taylor, former Paralympic swimmer David Hill and George Peasgood in PT4 and Joe Townsend and Phil Hogg in the PT1 event.

    There are two heats to come and he's going to struggle to make the final.

    The athletes are going through final preparations here before the race start at 14:00 BST.

    Britain's George Peasgood is the baby of the triathlon team at 20 and is hoping to win his first major international medal in the PT4 category.

    He suffered an injury to his leg when he was two and a half and has undergone several reconstructive surgeries since.

    Good news from Lagoa where Tom Aggar is through to the AS single sculls final on Sunday after winning his repechage in four minutes 56.17 seconds.

    Aggar won gold in the event at the Beijing 2008 Games.

    Great Britain ended day two of the Paralympics with an amazing 27 medals, 12 of which were gold.

    It means the class of 2016 are already well ahead of the teams sent to Beijing and London in terms of medals won.

    This year's team has been set a target of 121 medals, which is one more than they attained at London 2012.

    We'll see history being made in Rio today as the first Paralympic triathlon titles are up for grabs on the Copacabana.

    Three titles are up for decision - all for men - PT4, who are the least impaired group here, PT2 and then PT1, who are wheelchair users.

    The women's events take place on Sunday.

    After winning gold for Canada in the men's 100m T53, an emotional Brent Lakatos was surprised by his wife, ParalympicsGB's Stef Reid, who was on BBC Radio 5 live, talking about her silver medal success in the long jump.

    Reid takes over from BBC Radio 5 live's Jonathan Overend to interview her husband, with a highlight being: "Congratulations. I'm so proud of you... Are you crying?"

    What a day it was. 

    Sprinter Jonnie Peacock (above) capped it all by retaining his T44 100m title with a dominant performance at the Maracana.

    Cyclists Sophie Thornhill, with pilot Helen Scott started it off in the women's B 1,000m time trial, while Jody Cundy also triumphed in the velodrome in the C4-5 1km.

    Georgina Hermitage, Sophie Hahn and Libby Clegg claimed victory in their respective 100m finals while 15-year-old swimmer Ellie Robinson (below) 15, triumphed in the women's 50m butterfly S6.

    And that was just the golds.
