You'd have thought this picture was taken when Chelsea had conceded, not scored. Fernando Torres refused to celebrate scoring against his former club. What's everyone's thoughts on that? Should players always celebrate a goal? Or it is good to be respectful to the fans who once cheered your every touch? Let us know via the usual channels.

The half-time stats are in and, as expected, they show that Chelsea have had a little bit more of the ball. It's a shame for the Blues their superiority in that area is not mirrored in the scoreline.

Tactics expert Michael Cox: "It has been very defensive as we expected, although two more goals than we anticipated. We thought Azpilicueta would be playing on the left, but it is Hazard who is there and it was his mistake that led to the goal. This situation favours Atletico and maybe the fact that Chelsea need to score a goal could mean there is even more space for them in the second half."

Alan Mackie:, external Chelsea have defended amazingly for the last two and a half games. They were awful there. Could cost them big time.

Ben's right...Diego Simeone celebrated like a man who's just realised he's got six numbers on the lottery.

BBC Sport's Ben Smith at Stamford Bridge

"Muted applause at Stamford Bridge as the players disappear down the tunnel at half-time. When that away goal went in, four full rows of Atletico staff leapt in the air, they realised just how crucial that moment was. Having had it firmly in their hands, Chelsea now know they have it all to do against a team that is famed for not conceding goals. Beautifully balanced at half-time."

"Chelsea switched off. It was poor, poor defending and a cool finish from Adrian. I don't know why Ashley Cole was in the middle of the goal."

Well, well, well...Atletico's work on the training pitch undoes Chelsea's famed defence and puts the Spanish side into the ascendency. Tiago floats a ball to the far post and an unmarked Juanfran pulls it back across for Adrian Lopez to stroke into an empty net. That away goal means, as it stands, Atletico are going through.

Luke Hardwick:, external Torres waits so long to score and he can't even celebrate! Annoying for him.

The Bridge is rocking to the reverberation of 38,000 Chelsea supporters celebrating with a sing-song. They are almost silenced, however, when Adrian Lopez powers a head on goal, but straight at Mark Schwarzer.

"Great run from Torres. That is what happens if you make a movement in the box. Mourinho puts Azpilicueta on this right hand side and he sets up the goal, he puts Torres up front and he scores. It's fair play to Mourinho."

Atletico crack first... and it's their former striker Fernando Torres who does the damage. Stamford Bridge rises as one when Willian turns his marker down in the right-hand corner and, as the Brazilian stumbles, Cesar Azpilicueta takes the ball on and drives it into the box where Fernando Torres strokes home from 12 yards via a slight, but decisive, deflection off Mario Suarez. Chelsea have lift-off.

With Atletico enjoying a season to remember, we're asking for your favourite campaigns of years gone by.

Jordan Paterson:, external 05/06 for Sheff Utd. Beat Leeds to promotion and did the double over the Owls. Akinbiyi even scored a screamer against them!

Chris H:, external Stockport County 07/08 season. Beating local rivals Rochdale at Wembley for promotion to League One. All been downhill since then.

James:, external Bradford City getting to the Capital One Cup final away at Aston Villa last season and getting promoted in the same season.

BBC Sport's Ben Smith at Stamford Bridge

"The one thing that has struck me most about the opening 30 minutes of this contest is the sheer speed at which it is being played. Both sides are certainly being watchful and wary, but the pace with which the side with the ball is being closed down is incredible. There is just no let up. Chelsea will want to involve Eden Hazard a little more than they have done, but most of their success has come down the right flank. Fascinating contest."

Once again though, the free-kick comes to nothing. We're 33 minutes in and are still to see a shot on target...although Koke did hit the crossbar earlier on.

Oooh, Gary Cahill goes into the book when he's done by the bounce of the ball and ends up taking out Diego Costa as the striker sees the goal open up before him. Atletico are awarded a free-kick 25 yards from goal...

I'm not sure it's worth reporting, but hey ho... the ball falls to Eden Hazard on the edge of the box but the talented Belgian cocks it up completely and slices his volley high into the air. The ball came back down with snow on it.
