Zakir:, external The script has been ripped apart by Newcastle. Unbelievable.

Dhatweir D Niggie:, external ‏Martin Srktel has been at the heart of everything bad that has happened to Liverpool this season. Another disastrous own-goal.

Rick Nash:, external At the start of the day, City could win the league with a draw. Now they can win with a loss.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:25 British Summer Time 11 May 2014

They may not need to win, but they are trying to! City left-back Aleksander Kolarov lets fly from fully 30 yards, it's a peach of a strike with that hammer of a left peg, and Adrian has to turn it over at full stretch.

BBC Sport's Chris Osborne at Carrow Road: "Very little noise from the Norwich fans. But what have they got to sing about? There has been one chorus of "Ipswich Town we're coming for you", alluding to the prospect of facing their East Anglian rivals in the Championship next season. Arsenal fans are in a cruel mood. "We are staying up," they sing.

With England manager Roy Hodgson among the St Mary's crowd, two players who could be named in his World Cup squad on Monday come close to giving Southampton the lead against Manchester United. Luke Shaw runs at the United defence from the halfway line and links up with Adam Lallana, but heads the midfielder's return cross narrowly over the bar. Still 0-0.

  5. CLOSE!published at 15:24 British Summer Time 11 May 2014

Almost an instant response from Liverpool. Daniel Agger heads on a corner with plenty of power, but not enough accuracy. It's straight at Tim Krul, an easy save for the Dutchman.

"Newcastle have had such a rough time of it, but you never know - they might get a result at Anfield. And the news has filtered around the Etihad, and the songs have sprung up. You can hear it - City believe this title is theirs."

  7. CITY WILL BE CHAMPIONSpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 11 May 2014

Huge cheers around the Etihad as news filters through of that own goal for Liverpool. There is also cheers from the Everton end at Hull and Manchester United fans at Southampton.

As it stands, City can lose and still take the honours....

Stoke deserve their bit of luck. The visitors have been looking stylish coming forward and a barnstorming run from Steven N'Zonzi, followed by a low cross from Marko Arnautovic, has the Baggies at sixs and sevens. Gareth McAuley's attempts to right the ship only send the ball past his own 'keeper.

West Brom have never scored at home against Stoke in the Premier League. They'll need to today.

Massive goal! Yoan Gouffran fires over a cross from the left wing, Martin Skrtel swings a boot at the ball and sends it into the far corner off the bottom of his shin.

It's his fourth own goal of the season - and it could be absolutely decisive.

Jonathan Walters should score. The Stoke striker is picked out at the far post by Geoff Cameron's deep cross but nods wide of the West Brom goal from four yards.

Over at Craven Cottage, Palace striker Marouane Chamakh is perhaps a little fortunate to escape with a yellow card after lunging in on Fulham's Alex Kacaniklic.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 11 May 2014

It's an absolutely brilliant finish! But it doesn't count.

Luis Suarez is fouled out on the touchline, he takes the free-kick quickly and lofts the ball over the keeper and into the net with one swing of the outside of his right boot. Absolutely genius - but the ball was moving and referee Phil Dowd wasn't ready.

BBC Sport's David Ornstein at Anfield

"The Liverpool fans belted out a spine-tingling rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' before kick-off and it continued for minutes after, but an element of frustration has taken over following their team's scrappy start. The Newcastle fans are currently making the greater noise, taunting Reds captain Steven Gerrard over his costly slip against Chelsea while also aiming chants of "Alan Pardew, it's never your fault" and "We want Pardew out" towards the touchline. The proximity here means Pardew can hear every word, but he continues to look calm and scribble notes on a scrap of paper."

"This will feel like a replay of Wednesday's game against Aston Villa for Manchester City. They are dominating possession and will need plenty of patience. West Ham are solid in defence so far."

Craig Bellamy gives Cardiff the lead. After nice build-up play, he fires left-footed from 20 yards and goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is left flat-footed after the ball takes a wicked deflection off Cesar Azpilicueta. It's such a big deflection it might even go down as an own goal - though Bellamy no doubt will argue.

Excellent build-up play from Paulinho, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Harry Kane ends with the Brazilian putting Spurs in pole position to finish sixth and claim that final Europa League spot. The midfielder's first shot is saved, but there's no mistake with the rebound. Tim Sherwood's delighted.

  18. GOALpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 11 May 2014

It looks like Sunderland are reverting to type. There is not enough pressure on Marvin Emnes on the edge of the box and the Dutchman is able to turn on Wilfried Bony's pass and hammer a vicious shot past Vito Mannone.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 11 May 2014

Another penalty appeal - this time for City as Pablo Zabaleta takes a tumble inside the penalty area. It's a flat back eight at times from the Hammers. You shall not pass!

"City have started the game well, passing it and creating a couple of half-chances. But what I really like is their patience - they keep the ball up to the last 20 yards then they burst into life on the edge of the box, pinging it around and playing people in behind."
