BBC Sport's Tom Garry at Wembley: "There were some very nervous faces among the Burton Albion faithful after those first five minutes, as Fleetwood made such an energetic start, but the Brewers have settled now and have been breaking forward in numbers. Things are bubbling up nicely."

I'm not sure I've seen a more open start at Wembley. The opening 20 minutes has been full of chances - mostly for Fleetwood. Suddenly, Burton manage to burst from their own half and a poor Fleetwood clearance allows Lee Bell to try his luck from 35 yards. It's a lot closer than keeper Chris Maxwell thought.

Oh, what a story that would have been. Nathan Pond, who has been involved in five promotions since joining Fleetwood in 2003, outjumps the Brewers defence following a corner but heads over from close range. The chances still keep coming for Fleetwood but they can't make them count.

Chesterfield manager Paul Cook at Wembley on BBC Radio 5 live: "Fleetwood are looking better without doubt but it has been much more open than we would have thought. It looks like there could be goals."

A moment of respite for Burton as a cynical challenge by Mark Roberts on Billy Kee earns the men in yellow a free-kick. Burton will be grateful for the breather.

Iain Hume, who is on loan from Preston, is putting his vast experience to good use. The former Tranmere, Barnsley and Leicester forward is causing the Burton defence all sorts of problems. The Cod Army launch another attack. Matty Blair powers forward but his goalbound effort is blocked by Marcus Holness. A ferocious start by the Lancashire club.

Fleetwood have come roaring out of the blocks. Burton are hardly into their stride when keeper Dean Lyness is forced to produce a fine one-handed save to deny striker David Ball's shot on the turn from the edge of the area.

BBC Radio 5 live commentator Ian Brown: "I saw Fleetwood play in the second leg against York City and they looked very strong defensively. But the Burton defence has been better over the course of the season. I would edge towards Fleetwood as they have players who have played for other clubs and have the experience. They also have Iain Hume, who is on loan from Preston. It will be a remarkable rise for either club."

BBC Sport's Tom Garry at Wembley: "'Black and Yellow' by Wiz Khalifa has been playing out on the Wembley loudspeakers and, at this stage, there are slightly more Brewers fans inside the stadium. But there are plenty of horns, reminiscent of the 2010 World Cup vuvuzelas, being blown by the Fleetwood fans."

Two-time Champions League winner Cristiano Ronaldo has graced some of the best stadiums in the world. Whether Burton's Pirelli Stadium features highly on his list of favourite grounds, the Portuguese has not disclosed.

But eight years on, Brewers fans fondly recall the day the current world player of the year turned out against their team in the FA Cup in January 2006. Burton, a mid-table Conference side at the time, famously held United to a goalless draw in front of a sell-out 6,191 crowd before losing the third round replay 5-0 at Old Trafford. Ronaldo came on as a 59th-minute substitute in the first game.

How the Brewers could do with a little bit of Ronaldo magic at Wembley.
