    Diego Godin is in the 'no-nonsense' camp at centre-half for Uruguay, just blasting the ball out of play as Daniel Sturridge chased down a Wayne Rooney flick-on.

    Do England have the tools to unlock this Uruguay defence? The early signs are positive.

    Good tempo to the opening exchanges with Steven Gerrard charging into a tackle like a bull in a china shop. Raheem Sterling easily beats one man before he is tackled and Luis Suarez then wins a corner for Uruguay after a neat exchange.
