Are France potential world beaters? Or are you still to be convinced they have got 'it'? And who are you backing to join them in the last-16 from Group E (because I'm damn sure they are going to qualify)?

Thumping wins over Honduras and Switzerland see France sitting pretty, knowing they need only a draw against Ecuador to seal top spot. That would book a second-round tie against Group F runners-up Nigeria, who qualified despite losing 3-2 to Argentina earlier.
And only a panning by the South Americans would demote them to second (or, even more remarkably, third) and set up a heavyweight bout with two-time winners Argentina in the last 16. Here's the plan:
Bonjour mes amies! And welcome to the season finale of Group E, where France look set to snaffle the lead role as Ecuador, Switzerland and Honduras battle it out for the 'best supporting' gong.
At least that should be the script. There's only one way that the French will not join the likes of Brazil and Argentina in the last 16 - and that would be worthy of an Academy award in itself.

Walter White's chilling warning to brother-in-law Hank Schrader in the final season of hit US television drama Breaking Bad completed the previously mild-mannered chemistry teacher's morph into criminal mastermind.
Back in the real world, France - and in particular their striker Karim Benzema - may have been tempted to issue a similar threat to Ecuador about treading lightly. However, the South Americans will know full well who tonight's opponents are.

France need just a point to win the group, and only a big defeat by Ecuador and a large winning margin for Switzerland over Honduras would stop the French from qualifying.
Ecuador must beat France and maintain their goal difference over Switzerland to make the last 16.
If the Swiss gain a point from their match with Honduras, and France beat Ecuador, then Switzerland will finish in second place.
Honduras can qualify but must beat Switzerland and hope France defeat Ecuador by a large enough margin for Honduras' goal difference to improve beyond that of Switzerland and Ecuador.
Ecuador have no reported injury concerns and could be unchanged from the side that beat Honduras.
Enner Valencia, Juan Carlos Paredes, Jefferson Montero and Antonio Valencia are all one booking from a ban.
Mamadou Sakho limped out of France's win over Switzerland with a thigh problem and is unlikely to be risked, while fellow defender Raphael Varane has been laid low by gastroenteritis.
Yohan Cabaye serves a one-match ban for collecting two yellow cards.
