Hamilton's players and supporters acclaim Tony Andreu's late goal that levelled the tie to force extra time in a pulsating play off at a sodden Easter Road.
Hamilton players, hunting in packs and moving forward deep into Hibs territory, go on the hunt for a third goal and Mikael Antoine-Curier tests Ben Williams with a shot on the turn but the Hibs keeper is equal to the task.
Ollie Kay: "Come on @acciesfc you deserve this! Beat these odds greatly stacked in Hib's favour! #maytheoddsalwaysbeinyourfavour"
Keith McAdam: "TB has tried 3 different formations this afternoon and we still can't get a hold of this game. All the pressure is on Hibs."
Hamilton Accies want a penalty as Andy Ryan tumbles under the close attention of Alan Maybury but eagle-eyed whistler Willie Collum is having none of it and books Ryan for simulation. Replays show that's a great decision by the referee.
Hibs are on the attack and Owain Tudor Jones feeds Liam Craig but Accies keeper Kevin Cuthbert gallops out to clear just as Craig's about to pull the trigger.
Hamilton were promoted to Scotland's top flight for the first time in 20 years in 2008, but their stay in the SPL ended in the 2010-11 season, as they were relegated after a 1-0 defeat away to St Johnstone.
Five minutes into the first period of extra time and the Hibs fans look shell-shocked...
Michael Nelson: "What a game! The edition of playoffs has really enhanced Scottish football. Hibs fans might disagree though!"
Keith McAdam: "So we go to 4-5-1 to protect our lead then fail to do so. Advantage Hamilton. Time for Hibs to dig very deep."
Ian Connal: "Wow. Just wow."
We are under way in the first period of extra time. Unbelievable, what a game!
The QPR v Derby play-off was something special; the Champions League final was incredible... This Scottish Premiership play-off is right up there with them.
This is why we love the beautiful game!
Talk about contrasting emotions: Hamilton players are jumping high in the sky and Hibs are looking down at their boots. Terry Butcher roars in frustration, like Gerard Butler in the film 300.
What a comeback from Accies and no less than they've deserved. They've been the hungrier side for long spells.
How does extra time sound?
Unbelievable. Accies double their lead and level the tie as Jason Scotland's cut back allows Tony Andreu to stab the ball beyond Ben Williams. Can the Hamilton players here that famous Rocky tune?
The Hibs supporters find their voice and manager Terry Butcher, urges them on with a cracking Windmill impression. The tension is palpable. Accies attack down the left but a low cross into the box fails to find a red & white jersey...
John Robertson: "Has Butcher made same mistake as Simeone did last night v Real by going 4-5-1? It's inviting pressure."
Referee Willie Collum has indicated four, yes four minutes of additional time. Who wants to become a hero?
Hibs fans have had little to cheer amid the pouring rain at Easter Road...
William Whitelaw: "Come on Accies you deserve this let's get the next goal..."
Keith McAdam: "Hamilton might be leading all the stats apart from the most important one. Goals scored. Com the cabbage."
Accies press again and Tony Andreu's shot, after being set up brilliantly by Mikael Antoine-Curier, is headed away by Ryan McGivern. That was "travelling" as they say and looked destined to find the net. The white knuckle ride continues...
Owain Tudor Jones replaces a "drookit" Paul Heffernan with BBC Sportsound pundit Craig Paterson suggesting that Terry Butcher's decided to go 4-5-1 with seven minutes plus added time remaining.
Accies player/boss Alex Neil, meanwhile, replaces Jon Routledge. This could be Roy of the Rovers material...
Richie Boy: "Come on Accies ...Hibees just don't deserve to stay up...they should have controlled this game but are characterless!"
Anonymous: "Come on Hibs! From Warwickshire!"
Both sides are swapping increasingly tired attacks like heavyweights Rocky and Apollo Creed near the end of one of their epic battles. Can Hibs deliver the knockout blow or can Accies find something special to get Hibs on the ropes?
