Accies lead but trail on aggregate...

Another menacing Accies attack as Mikael Antoine-Curier nods the ball down for Darian MacKinnon whose shot is well blocked by the Hibs defence. Hamilton continue to chip, chip, chip away in search of a second goal to level the tie.

They have a little under 20 minutes plus added time in which to do so.

Mikael Antoine-Curier comes on for Louis Longridge as Accies reshuffle their pack and Kevin Thomson replaces sub Alex Harris for the hosts.

Ryan McGivern halts Jason Scotland's march towards the Hibs goal. Fairly, says whistler Willie Collum, but replays show the Hibs defender got away with one there. Scotland shakes his head in disbelief as the rain continues to tumble down at Easter Road.

The heavens open above the Scottish capital and both sides are playing in driving rain as supporters inside Easter Road raise their hoods and their eyes to the sky. I wouldn't fancy Ben Williams or Kevin Cuthbert's jobs in trying to scoop up the ball from the sodden turf. It'll be like keeping hold of a pickle tumbling from a fish supper!

With about half an hour remaining, a defiant cry of "Hibees" lights up Easter Road but Terry Butcher's men are making heavy weather of securing their top-flight safety.

As things stand, Hibs will remain in the Scottish Premiership. Can Hamilton find a second goal to level the tie? They need a Marcelo Champions League final- style intervention to make the difference here...

Owen, Fife: "For once I agree with Tom English Hibs are dreadful. The worst defender in Scotland must be McGivern. He must have contributed to more than half of all of Hibs defeats."

Accies, one again patient in their build up, progress almost silently into Hibs territory and eventually work the ball into Jason Scotland. But the striker can't find a team-mate from inside the area and the hosts repel the danger.

But Ali Crawford is alive to the danger and heads the corner clear. A sea of red and white jerseys then engulf the ball and carry it forward into Hibs territory. This tie is perfectly poised and the tension is building by the minute...

In sharp contrast, Hamilton player/boss Alex Neil is jumping up and down in the technical area like Tigger; Accies are pushing hard to level this fascinating tie...

Accies come flying out of the traps in the second half and almost level the tie as Jason Scotland does a wee snake-hips move inside the box that accounts for two Hibs defenders but his low shot is brilliantly saved by Ben Williams.
