    BBC Sportsound pundit Tom English

"If this tie finishes 2-1 then Accies will be raging because this Hibs side is there for the taking..."

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

You could cut the atmosphere with a knife. Accies have impressed throughout and are well worth their 1-0 lead at the break against an insipid and strangely lethargic Hibs.

Plenty food for thought at the break. If you here a distant rumble it'll probably be Terry Butcher's half-time team talk...

  3. CLOSE!published at 16:18 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

Incredible! A long ball into the box causes fear and alarm in the Hibs defence and Tony Andreu's flashing drive hits the side netting. Accies are pushing, pushing for a second goal to level the tie on aggregate before the break.

Oooh, that's a crucial intervention by Michael Nelson. His sliding challenge prevents Louis Longridge from galloping in on Ben Williams in the Hibs goal. Those of a Hibs hue breathe a collective sigh of relief. However, I wouldn't like to be those Hibs players facing Terry Butcher at the break...

Mike Smith: "I've just been to a few supermarkets in Easter Rd. Can't buy any toilet paper, they've completely run out..."

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:14 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

Hibs are almost level as Liam Craig's corner finds the unmarked Jason Cummings but his shot is blocked and cleared off the line by some Ninja-like Hamilton defending. Could that clearance prove crucial come full time?

  7. Postpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

The first boos of the day are heard inside Easter Road as the home fans' frustration with their side continues to build. Lewis Stevenson spurns a great chance to fire a cross into the box but Hibs have a corner...

  8. Postpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

Chris, Stirling: "The early singing and chatting from the Hibs fans has turned into moaning and groaning. Sums up the change in the dynamics of the tie."

Dundee Alan: "This is hilarious! Bye bye Hibs, enjoy the league you deserve to play in!"

Nick Kersdown: "This is torture, waiting for the army to show up or Hibs to start creating chances #cabbagecurfew"

Andrew Priestley: "The home fans are starting to get on the backs of the Hibs players, they're all over the place here."

  10. Postpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

We've got 10 minutes of the first half remaining and Accies continue to look the likelier to add to their lead. Hibs have struggled to breach their Hamilton rearguard and the tactic of arrowing long balls down the throats of the centre halves hasn't paid dividends...

If Accies manage to score a second goal and it ends 2-2 on aggregate then we can look forward to extra time and penalties. No away goals counting in the Premiership play-off final...

Hamilton Accies scent blood here and another attack against the sluggish Hibs defence sees Ziggy Gordon head a good chance wide amid more gnashing of Hibs teeth in the stands.

    The tension is palpable.

  13. Postpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

Keith McAdam: "Come Hibs sort it out. Stop letting Hamilton dominate play. We are the Premiership team. Play like it!"

Ross Quinn: "This is almost "Armageddon" two of our great teams about to leave the top league in one season. #theendisnigh #comeonhibs

Hibs are rocking here. Their alarmed fans inside Easter Road are sporting expressions akin to those frazzled holiday-makers stuck in long, snaking airport check-in queues with screaming children and fractious grandparents.

Poor Terry Butcher looks like he's been presented with a flat-pack from IKEA and asked to assemble it within a minute with his defence looking all-at-sea!

Ian Connal: "Watching as an Airdrie fan in Cape Verde, Mon the Accies!"

Darrelle Wood: "Come on Hibs!! This is dire..."

Hamilton Acccies boss Alex Neil urged his players to emulate Liverpool's Champions League final comeback in 2005 against AC Milan; Jason Scotland has put them in front to reduce the deficit in this tense Scottish Premiership play-off final.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:54 British Summer Time 25 May 2014

Accies come within a whisker of doubling their lead and levelling the tie on aggregate as Louis Longridge finds himself free in the box but his low shot is stabbed away by the foot of keeper Ben Williams. Panic in the Hibs rearguard and anxiety washing down from the stands; the Hibs punters are far from happy with what they're seeing...

Hibernian, wild-eyed, sluggish and still looking to find their feet, see Paul Heffernan gallop onto a long ball but he snatches his shot well wide of Kevin Cuthbert's goal.

What's the saying about a picture being worth a thousand words? Hibs chairman Rod Petrie looks pained in the stand at Easter Road following that early Accies goal and Terry Butcher leaps up to roar some tactical instruction to his shell-shocked troops.

    The Hibs chairman looks crestfallen...
