Which World Cup had the most unforgettable match?

    2014 Brazil 1-7 Germany semi-final

1998 France v Brazil final. The French won thanks to Zinedine Zidane's goals, but what happened to Ronaldo was a mystery.

1990 England v Germany semi-final. Gazza tears and the memorable shootout - they are still looking for the ball from Chris Waddle's penalty.

1986 England v Argentina quarter-final. Maradona's Hand of God goal and his amazing second goal.

1982: Northern Ireland v Spain (Gerry Armstrong's winning strike). France v West Germany 3-3 and that Schumacher-Battiston moment.

1978: Scotland 3-2 Netherlands. What a goal from Archie Gemmill. The Dutch went on to reach the final.

1974: Germany 2-1 Netherlands in the final.

1970 Brazil v Italy final. Frankly, a masterclass of football - in contrast to the Brazil class of 2014.

1966: England v Germany final. What a match, from an England fan's point of view.

France's Paul Pogba, 21, and Netherlands forward Arjen Robben, 30, are the stars of the 2014 World Cup, according to Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

Both have now seen their sides eliminated but, when asked which player has impressed him, Mourinho said: "I think Robben. He was the player that played from day one until the last moment at a high level, never ever up and down, always up."

And, questioned on the tournament's most notable young player, he added: "I would say Pogba - he had a good World Cup despite the fact his team didn't reach the last four; he showed he is a big player for the next World Cup."
