"In that outfit, Fabio Capello looks more like Postman Pat than ever."
Frustration for Algeria as Djamel Mesbah hauls down Aleksandr Kerzakov and the referee flashes a yellow card. The Desert Foxes are lacking cutting edge and they're going out unless they can find something special.

"I know most of you will be watching the Belgium game, but Russia against Algeria is wonderfully entertaining."
What a disappointing set-piece as Jan Vertonghen's effort strikes Lee Yong on the leg and the chance is gone.
Belgium might be through to the next round but they certainly not sitting back in Sao Paulo. Dries Mertens powers into the South Korea half but is stopped in his tracks before he can cause any serious damage.
Sunderland's Ki Sung-yueng flattens Adnan Januzaj on the edge of the South Korea area. Danger.

"They're having five minutes at a time, aren't they? It's five minutes of Russia pressure and then five minutes of Algeria pressure. They're just swapping it around.
"The last five minutes were all Algeria - but then they let it go by just resorting to the long ball unnecessarily and losing possession. Don't give the opposition an easy way out - just keep the pressure going. Perhaps Russia will get their five minutes now."
South Korea have woken up in Sao Paulo.
Two chances inside a minute as Ki Sung-yueng forces Thibaut Courtois into a fine save from 25-yards before a corner causes chaos in the Belgium defence and the ball is hacked off the line.
The Taeguk Warriors are knocking on the door.
First serious chance for Algeria. Unfortunately for the African side it falls to left-back Djamel Mesbah and his finish is tame.
Still Russia probe and prod Algeria's defence as they search for a killer second goal. Oleg Shatov tries his luck from 25 yards but cannot find the target. Algeria need to step it up.
South Korea stated brightly. But that seems a very long time ago. Belgium are starting to dominate and Dries Mertens is presented with a glorious chance to fire the Red Devils ahead. Instead the Napoli forward blazes over from 10 yards. South Korea are still alive.

"Algeria are on the back foot, but I like the fact that both teams are going for each other. I'm enjoying the way Russia are not sitting back, which I thought they might do after getting the early goal. They are getting the full-backs forward continuously."
Kevin Mirallas has the ball in the back of the South Korea net but a late off-side flag brings the Everton midfielder's celebrations to a premature end.
What is Algeria's defence playing at?
Goalscorer Aleksandr Kokorin is allowed time and space to meet Aleksandr Samedov's cross but nods wide.
That should have been 2-0. Instead Fabio Capello looks grumpier than ever in the Russian dug out.
How lucky are South Korea?
Kim Young-gwon throws himself in front of Anthony vanden Borre right on the edge of the area.
Belgium's players want a penalty but the referee waves play on. That should have been a free-kick at least.

"I've just seen both goalkeepers lump the ball up the middle, and I have to say that there's a wee bit of League One feel about this game. There's a lot of endeavour, a lot of tackling but there's a lot of lumping the ball up the middle too. I'm not saying all League One teams play like that, before we get the complaints, but there's a very British feel about this match."
Russia look good value for their lead in Curitiba. Algeria need to respond or they are heading home. But they have offered very little so far and the Russian defence is enjoying a charmed life.
AKarim:, external Hopefully that early Russian goal will mean we will see attacking side of Algeria. They were brilliant going forward against South Korea.
Aleksandr Kokorin's sixth-minute goal means Russia have scored their earliest World Cup goal since Oleg Salenko's fourth-minute effort v Sweden in 1994.
The news from Curitiba appears to have filtered through to Sao Paulo?
South Korea are continuing to press forward and Kim Young-gwon lashes a good chance high and wide.
That was poor. The Taeguk Warriors will have to do better than that if they want to stay in Brazil.

"You're talking about old-fashioned wing play - what a cross that was. Kokorin never looked as if he was going to miss. At least the goalkeeper didn't have the cheek to go for it. He was absolutely stationary. That's a classic header."
