"Bayern! Bayern! Bayern!"
It's not the most original chant in the world but it works, the atmosphere has been lifted since Arjen Robben's arrival. We have 13 minutes remaining.
Is this the match-winner? Arjen Robben replaces Thomas Muller.
Robben is out on the right wing. A tip for City's defence: DO NOT LET HIM CUT INSIDE.
Loci Remy! So close! Schalke make a pig's ear of dealing with a free-kick, goalkeeper Ralk Fahrmann spills it out into the danger zone, Remy shovels the ball back on target and Roman Neustadter clears off the line.
Half an hour after he looked crocked, Edin Dzeko does come off. Sergio Aguero is on in his place. Can he nick one?
Jake in Scotland via text: This performance simply cements the fact Yaya Toure is a spent force at this level. For a "big game player" he looks pub league.
Pete in Havant, via text: Toure very sluggish, too much birthday cake I reckon. Oh no I apologise he didn't get one.
Go on then Diego Costa, let's see what you can do. The Spain striker replaces Didier Drogba as we approach the last 15 minutes. Loic Remy is also on for Willian.
Joe Hart has a lapse - a real error - as he spills a routine shot from Rafinha, but does well to block Thomas Muller's follow-up. Muller had strayed offside anyway as it turns out.
Fulham winning, Hugo Rodallega scoring, Gervinho scoring? Some very odd goings on this evening...
Fulham are now leading 3-2 at Nottingham Forest after coming from 2-0 down. Britt Assombalonga scored twice for Stuart Pearce's side, with the second coming from the penalty spot, but two goals from Ross McCormack and another from Hugo Rodallega have given the Cottagers a shock lead. In the other match Derby, who were 1-0 down inside the first minute at Blackburn, now lead 3-1, goals from Jamie Ward sandwiching a Will Hughes strike.
It's very flat in Munich, as City now have a good spell of midfield possession, but there's not much tempo to the play. We have 20 minutes left - any chance of a goal or two?
Chelsea looked well in control but now have 25 minutes to find another goal.
Maribor and Sporting are the other two sides in Group G, so a draw would not be the end of the world...
Two good chances in quick succession in Munich. First Bayern defender Medhi Benatia beats Bacary Sagna to the ball but heads over the top, before Jesus Navas puts a great ball over at the other end but the falling David Silva can only steer his header wide.
What goes around, comes around! Cesc Fabregas, who got away with a foul in the build-up to his goal, is stripped of the ball high up the pitch and is possibly fouled but play is waved on.
Julian Draxler carries the ball 50 yards downfield before finding captain Klaas-Jan Huntelaar on his left. The Dutchman works inside on to his right foot and drills in low. That Didier Drogba miss is magnified now.
Carl in Reading, via text: Strong as an ox, assured on the ball, great delivery and scores goals. Ivanovic one of the best right-backs in the world right now.
Alan in Manchester, via text: Sagna been really poor and out of sorts. Yaya in the game less and less. Time for changes.
Elliot, a Chelsea fan in Bristol, via text: Drogba is looking so rusty he doesn't so much need the magic sponge as a good dose of WD40.
Is it sacrilege to say it? Dare I? Didier Drogba's best days are behind him. Big miss from the big man as Eden Hazard puts him in with a magic lofted ball over the top, Drogba's first touch is poor and his second one is a dragged shot across goal. Danny Welbeck-esque...
John Terry is pinged for a foul, and angrily lashes the ball away in anger - right into the top corner! What a strike! Well worth getting booked for.
Thomas Muller superbly keeps a move alive with an improvised flick into Mario Gotze, but his shot is well charged down. James Milner is warming up as Bayern continue to find an alarming amount of space in midfield. Yaya Toure is looking very laboured.
He's human! Pep Guardiola is a genuine human being. He steps onto the pitch to help restart play, tries to clip a 20-yard pass to his left-back but shanks it horribly out of play! Not easy in a pair of brogues, but he is visibly gutted at his woeful pass. Head in hands moment, hand up in apology.
...but there is in London, that man Branislav Ivanovic getting in on the end of a flowing move and forcing Ralf Fahrmann into a strong save at the front post.
City make a lively start in Munich as Jesus Navas and Fernandinho both get in behind the Bayern defence. No end product though...
