He doesn't get that many goals but John Mikel Obi has now got his fifth for Chelsea. This one a cheeky finish from a yard out. Game over at the Bridge, you feel.

"Pjanic is having little effect on the game for Roma, neither is Totti. "
Second half commentary from the Stadio Olimpico is on 5 live Sport with John Murray and Kevin Kilbane. Alistair Bruce-Ball will also have regular updates from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea lead Sporting Lisbon 2-1.
More territorial advantage for the visitors. The Premier League champions win a deep free-kick in Roma's half, which is lofted up towards the six-yard box. Edin Dzeko leaps up with a pair of Giallorossi shirts, but they win the battle and the attack breaks down.
Excellent game for the neutral is this. You can't take your eyes off it for a minute. Which makes it difficult for me to type.
City probe again, looking for opening down the left. James Milner swings in a tempting cross, but Roma left-back Jose Holebas backheels a clearance. Untidy but effective.
Don't get too cocky though City. Roma haven't lost at home in Serie A this season for nothing. More quick-thinking is needed from away keeper Joe Hart, who beats out Francesco Totti's shot.
Another City chance as they fly out of the traps. Brazilian midfielder Fernando pounces on a loose ball to lob into the path of James Milner, who does not have the technique to blast in a first time volley. Maybe he should watch Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey for a few tips...
Lifeline for Sporting, if they can claw back another and get a draw, they'll go through with Chelsea.
Daniel Woodley:, external City will score here if they keep up this intensity. They would be winning this already if Toure and Aguero were available
Jamie Downes:, external Let's be honest, Jesus Navas is basically the Spanish Theo Walcott. Offers little apart from pace and questionable facial hair
An early sign of encouragement for City. Edin Dzeko peels off to the left channel of the Roma box, only to see his shot from a narrow angle blocked by a Roma defender.
City's turn to kick off the game - and that's exactly what they do. No sign of David Silva yet though. No changes for either side at the break.
Away from the likes of Chelsea and City, Zlatan, Messi, Bayern and CSKA - there aren't many more goals to report in the evening's other four Champions League matches.
There has however been some impressive crowd choreography from the Maribor fans before kick off in their match against Schalke in Group G.
Schalke need a win as scores stand in that group if they are to progress to the last 16.
Just before the break Ajax have taken a 1-0 lead at home to Apoel courtesy of a penalty from Lasse Schone.
Roma have shaded the first half. And if you don't believe me then here are the statistics to prove it...
City have not had much luck with injuries heading into this Champions League tie - but here is a sight that will make Blues fans smile.
David Silva is out on the Stadio Olimpico pitch, going through a series of warm-ups after his six-week lay-off with a knee injury. Are we about to see some Silva service?
City know they will reach the Champions League last 16 if their result is better than CSKA Moscow's result at Bayern Munich. Apart for one exception.
So a City win, coupled with a CSKA draw, would see City go through.
A City draw, coupled with a CSKA defeat, would see City go through.
But here's the twist. If CKSA lose and City draw 0-0, then Roma would progress.
Roma 0-0 Manchester City
Bayern Munich 1-0 CSKA Moscow
If these scores stay the same then ROMA will join Bayern Munich in the last 16.

"Roma have caused a lot of problems but in turn City have got behind their defence, but haven't tested the goalkeeper. Decent first half, he has contained Roma and Pellegrini will be quite happy."
And excellent news from Munich for Manchester City fans. Bayern are still doing the business against CSKA Moscow through Thomas Muller's penalty. Now City just need to do their own dirty work and nick a goal in Rome.
Easy street for Chelsea, who are already assured of their place in the last 16 draw as Group G winners. Goals from Cesc Fabregas and Andre Schurrle mean they are cruising against Sporting Lisbon, whose fate is still in the balance.
No messing about from referee Milorad Mazic - he toots his half-time whistle without playing a single second of added time.
