We would love to know which former faces got a warm return when they came back to your club - and, perhaps more interestingly, which didn't.

Luke Summers:, external Aaron Ramsey when he returned to Cardiff City stadium last season, warmest reception I've seen for any player from another team.

Adam B:, external Alan Shearer to Newcastle. Trevor Brooking to West Ham United. Past heroes who failed to keep their sides in the Prem.

If anyone is after a lesson in the art of diplomacy then I would suggest avoiding Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew's office at St James' Park.

Magpies fans had the 'Pardew Out' banners out last week and the response of the man himself was to accuse the Geordie faithful of 'mass hysteria'.

I'm not sure what Pardew was aiming to do but his hot-seat will have got a little bit hotter and St James' Park will be an interesting place to be today when the Magpies take on Hull at 15:00 BST.

Brian Clough once said: "That Portuguese bloke at Chelsea, Jose what's his name... He reminds me of me at the same age. But I were better-looking."

We are remembering Cloughie and want to know your memories of him and, for those of a younger persuasion, what have you have heard about the great man.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Brian Clough - one of football's biggest characters.

Clough won two European Cups with Nottingham Forest in 1979 and 1980, and the league with both Forest and rivals Derby. He also had an ill-fated seven-game stint with Leeds and spells at Brighton and Hartlepool.

As a player he scored 251 goals in 274 league games for Sunderland and Middlesbrough before injury ended his career at the age of 29.

BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Murphy - who knew Clough for over 30 years - has shared some of his favourite stories with us this morning.

Apart from Mark Hughes going back to QPR, another notable reunion today comes in the Midlands where Aston Villa centre-back Philippe Senderos welcomes former club Arsenal to the Premier League's surprise package of the season so far.

Senderos made 122 appearances for the Gunners in seven years but was hardly a hit with the north London outfit.

The Switzerland international had a storming game (and I am talking about Senderos here) against Liverpool last weekend as he had a hand in Villa's winner as well as helping keep the Reds at bay to secure his side's three points.

He'll be hoping for more of the same today, while the Gunners will be out to show that the odd lapse of concentration and mistake hasn't completely disappeared from his play.

So, on the back of Mark Hughes returning to QPR (and Philippe Senderos facing former club Arsenal - but more on that shortly), we would love to know which former faces got a warm return when they came back to your club - and, perhaps more interestingly, which didn't.

Brian Clough did a fair bit of returning to former clubs during his career - but again, more on him in a bit.

  8. A time to forgetpublished at 10:03 British Summer Time 20 September 2014

Mark Hughes went to QPR to enhance his reputation as a manager after leaving Fulham but, to put it mildly, it didn't quite go to plan for the Welshman after he took over at Loftus Road in January 2012.

The Hoops survived on the final day of the 2011-12 season after which Hughes said: "There is no way we will be in this situation again in my time here".

He was right, just not in the way he hoped. Things at QPR went from bad to worse. His side lost eight and drew four of their 12 games at the start of the following season and Hughes was duly sacked with QPR bottom of the table in November 2012.

It seems you can't do a Cruyff turn in the Premier League without some kind of reunion or another.

There is a big weekend ahead of us in the Premier League - and today's early kick-off is a prime example of familiar faces meeting up as Stoke manager Mark Hughes returns to one of his former clubs in the form of QPR.

Neither club or manager will have too many happy memories of a 10-month flirtation to forget so it could get a bit awkward......
