    Ex-Arsenal defender Martin Keown
BBC Radio 5 live at Emirates Stadium

"Debuchy actually gets to the ball, but I think he has an arm on the player.

Henry in the Emirates: Is this referee watching the same game? He has been awful all game. Awful display.

Ben in Cobham: A Besiktas equaliser would do Arsenal a favour as they would then be in a competition they could actually go on to win, rather than make up the numbers .

Adam in Darlington: Anyone who thinks Arsenal might be better not being in Europe, ask any Man United fan if they think the same.

There is no parking the bus from an adventurous 10-man Arsenal. Attack is obviously seen the best form of defence as the match swings from end-to-end. Both sides look capable of scoring.

  14. Postpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 27 August 2014

Besiktas are pushing for that away goal now. Arsene Wenger is looking a little twitchy on the substitutes bench and who can blame him? Seven minutes to go.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 27 August 2014

This could be a horrible last 11 minutes for Arsenal. Although they are still pushing for the second and Atiba Hutchinson is booked for lunging at Alexis Sanchez after some brilliant skill from the Chilean. Free-kick to Arsenal 30 yards out.....

Sanchez is inches from converting a whipped-in free-kick but can't make proper contact.

  16. GOALpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 27 August 2014

Sunderland get the breakthrough at St Andrew's as Jordi Gomez puts the Premier League side ahead.

The goal comes from Adam Johnson's pass, which finds Gomez 25 yards out and he drills a low effort past Birmingham goalkeeper Colin Doyle. But Blues' boss Lee Clark is furious, arguing the ball had gone out in the build-up to the goal.

  17. GOALpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 27 August 2014

Shock alert! League Two side Burton Albion take the lead against top-flight opposition and it's a beauty too, Adam McGurk curling a free-kick home from 20 yards.

  18. RED CARDpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 27 August 2014

Just seconds after Arsenal squander a golden opportunity through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to take the lead, they are down to 10 men when Mathieu Debuchy receives his second yellow card for tugging back a Besiktas player.

Chaos here as Calum Chambers is also booked for coming on too early as he replaces Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal should be 2-0 up though as Oxlade Chamberlain had his shot at the far post blocked before Debuchy's sending off. He should score.

Arsenal could live to regret that. The break quickly and have three players against two. Alexis Sanchez dallies and dallies before squaring to Santi Cazorla, who misses from close range.
