Jack, Northampton: At the Trevi fountain in Rome in 2004, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Behind me were three gents who thought I was Paul Scholes. I let them down ad gently as I could.

Nick Burton: 15 years ago I got mistaken for David Beckham, great! Now I get mistaken for Roman Abramovich, not so great.

"So, the two MPs will battle it out over the footballing despatch box with Manuel Pellegrini eager that City should restore their normal Etihad service as soon as possible, and Mauricio Pochettino hoping that his excellent away record (unbeaten since taking Southampton to City last April) might continue.

"No doubt Pochettino is aware of his countryman Ricky Villa, and no doubt he's seen the footage of Villa's wonder goal against Manchester City in the replay of the 1981 FA Cup final; surely the greatest ever game between these two clubs.

"Hard to believe it was 33 years ago. It's not the first time this season that Ricky Villa has made me feel old."

    Yaya Toure

"It is not hard to spot Yaya Toure's presence around Etihad Stadium ahead of the visit of Tottenham but will the man himself make an appearance on the pitch? Toure arrived back on Thursday - a day early - from international duty in Ivory Coast but, with a crucial Champions League tie against CSKA Moscow in Russia to come on Tuesday, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini must decide whether to use his influential midfielder sparingly against Spurs, or even rest him altogether."

  19. Saturday's back pages: Januzaj's agent rantspublished at 10:57 British Summer Time 18 October 2014

In the Daily Star,, external Adnan Januzaj's agent Dirk De Vriese has criticised Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Januzaj has made just six sub appearances this campaign and played only 122 minutes of Premier League football. He also got a 70 minute run-out in United's humiliating 4-0 Capital One Cup exit against League One MK Dons.

But De Vriese said: "That Adnan had to prove himself for Louis van Gaal in that match is nonsense.

"After an elbow in training Adnan's mouth was ripped open and he was under antibiotics and really should not have played. But after twenty minutes Shinji Kagawa is injured and Adnan suddenly need to play.

"Then it makes sense that you do not play your best game ever. "
