Gareth Bale to seal it... no!

The Welsh wonder gets in behind Giorgos Merkis and despite rolling his effort through the legs of the goalkeeper, the angle is too tight and the ball runs across goal to safety.

"Wales should have been coasting by now. Instead, they are hanging on against Cyprus at a very nervous Cardiff City Stadium.

"The apprehension is a result of a red card to Wales midfielder Andy King after just two minutes of the second half, following an ankle-high tackle on Cyprus captain Constantinos Makridis.

"This will be a severe test of Wales' resolve - physically and mentally - as they look to cling on to their lead."

The home support is transmitting nervous energy from the stands - applauding every little thing Wales do as they try to help their boys over the line. This could be a long 30 minutes.

"If that's a sending off why is the one against Gareth Bale early on not a sending off? Andy King has got the back of his heel, it's a poor challenge, but I don't think it should be a red card. This changes the whole game."

  18. RED CARD FOR ANDY KINGpublished at 20:53 British Summer Time 13 October 2014

Wales cannot believe it. They are reduced to 10 men when Andy King sees red for a challenge on Constantinos Makrides on the halfway line. The Welsh player did rake down the Cyprus captain's ankle - and pays the ultimate price. Gareth Bale is booked for protesting.

So, Croatia are winning 4-0. I don't know about you, but I've always had a soft spot for them. Pretty random really... although Zvonimir Boban, Davor Suker and Luka Modric probably have something to do with it. They just seem to produce proper footballers. Who is your 'second' international team?
