    "What an eventful first half.

"Wales appeared to be cruising after goals from David Cotterill and Hal Robson-Kanu - the latter a stylish team effort - gave them a 2-0 lead.

"But, rather against the run of play, Cyprus clawed themselves back into the tie as Vincent Laban's floated free-kick evaded Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and a handful of defenders on the line before nestling in the far corner.

"That silenced what had been a buoyant Cardiff City Stadium, though the home crowd found its voice again as a deflected Gareth Bale free-kick was pushed on to the bar.

"Wales will be frustrated to have been pegged back but, as their fans keep reminding us, they are currently top of Group B."

Eight shots on target? Wales should be home and hosed.

"I would like to see another man in Wales' midfield. If we start getting deeper then there is more space in midfield and I would hate for us to be hanging on at the end of this game with only a goal lead.

"It was a good start, two good goals from Wales, but then a bit of sloppiness came in and we switched off and started to think it was easy. Cyprus should be dead and buried but they are back in it."

Hywel Roberts:, external That Cyprus goal has made it edgy but on the plus side we've still got Gareth's goal to come.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 13 October 2014

It should be more comfortable than the scoreline suggests. But, so far so good for Wales.

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:36 British Summer Time 13 October 2014

More sublime stuff from Gareth Bale. First his defence-splitting ball sees David Cotterill bring a point-blank save out of Anastasios Kissas, before the Real Madrid forward closes in on the rebound and drives a deflected effort just over the bar.

It goes from bad to worse for the Netherlands, whose qualification for Euro 2016 could actually be in doubt months after finishing third in the World Cup.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has just given Iceland a 2-0 lead over Guus Hiddink's side - it's half-time in Reykjavik.

Czech Republic have nine points as will Iceland if they hold out. Netherlands have three.

  9. INJURY TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 13 October 2014

Suddenly, Cyprus are having some joy and are looking confident as they stroke the ball about. Dare I say it though, that Wales look fairly organised at the back. Four minutes of injury time to be added on.

  10. Elsewhere in Group Bpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 13 October 2014

Bosnia-Hercegovina, who drew 0-0 in Wales on Friday, have just taken the lead against Belgium with Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko scoring.

Israel are still being held in Andorra.

Ben Johnson:, external Wales have a great set-up. Strong core of Bale, Ramsay (if fit) & Williams and a squad of decent players willing to work hard.

"That is a wake-up call that we need and we can't take things for granted. Cyprus have delivered some decent balls into the box. But there are too many bodies in the way for Wayne Hennessey to come for that. If he is going to go for it then he has to take everyone out and make sure he gets the ball."

Come on Wales fans, when have your side ever made it easy?

Cyprus score a goal out of nothing when Vincent Laban floats in a free-kick from the right and the ball beats everyone before taking a slight deflection off the glove of Wayne Hennessey and nestling into the back of the net.

Another quality attack from Wales almost makes it three. Chris Gunter flies down the right and puts in a beautiful centre which the keeper spills before gathering just before Andy King can pounce. I told you the Cyprus keeper had butter-fingers... (16 mins)

L Higgins:, external Fantastic start for Wales who need to really put this game past Cyprus. Will do wonders for the confidence which has been lacking.
