There looks to be plenty of fans who have braved the cold to get to Selhurst Park as the atmosphere starts to build, helped by some thumping dance tunes.

I wonder if Jose Mourinho has gone along to sample the atmosphere, having been unhappy with it at Stamford Bridge at the weekend.

It may be Sunderland tonight, but not quite as you know them.

The Black Cats are wearing a one-off all-white strip to avoid a kit clash with the hosts.

Apparently, Sunderland's blue away kit has been deemed too similar to Palace's home strip - they both have the same colour shorts and socks - so a special kit will be used.

Don't get too attached to it, Sunderland fans, it's not for sale.

A bit of excitement for the band of journalists at tonight's game as Crystal Palace unveil their new media centre, opened by Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore.

Crystal Palace v Sunderland (20:00 GMT)

"Both of these sides are in the bottom five but Crystal Palace are proving very difficult to beat under Neil Warnock. Sunderland are the team with bigger problems right now.

"They did not show much of a response against Arsenal after getting beaten 8-0 by Southampton, which surprised me, and should be a worry for their manager Gus Poyet. Aside from the mistakes that gifted the Gunners their goals, they were relatively uncompetitive.

"In the mini-league they are in, in the bottom eight of the Premier League, that is the very least they have got to be. I expect Palace will show them that on Monday night."

Home fans will be expecting a win tonight.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock, speaking to Sky Sports: "We were unlucky last weekend at West Brom but we played very well.

"Apart from the Hull game away, I've been very pleased so far. Anything you can get off the top four teams is a bonus, so everyone needs to take points off everyone else in the other games."

  18. Poor form a 'terrible accident'published at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2014

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet feels two successive defeats and 10 goals conceded is just a bit of a blip for his side.
