  1. CLOSE!published at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Stoke are still good value for their two-goal lead but Tottenham are always capable in a set-piece situation and the home side go close to pulling one back when Erik Lamela's free-kick is nodded just wide by Harry Kane. You sense Stoke will need a third to really feel comfortable.

  2. GOALpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Two assists in a game for Newcastle right-back Daryl Janmaat. A brilliant, swirling cross from the right after a corner is half cleared and captain Fabricio Coloccini spins away into space to head home. Alan Pardew's surge up the table looks set to continue.

  3. Time for Adebayor?published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    James Scowcroft
BBC Radio London summariser at White Hart Lane

"Will Mauricio Pochettino bring Harry Kane off and put Emmanuel Adebayor on? The way this game is going it looks like he might. He has a big decision to make here, because he can only make one more substitution."

  4. CLOSE!published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

West Brom need some inspiration from somewhere and midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu almost finds it. He drives on from deep, is allowed to motor forwards, but drags a shot wide from 18 yards.

  5. Postpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Stadium of Light

"If Everton play at a high pace they can win this game. One of the difference between the two sides is that the visitors are capable of doing that. They are showing signs of improvement now.

"[To commentator Conor McNamara] Have you noticed anything different about Romelu Lukaku in this second half? He has taken his gloves off. He was the only person wearing them mind. Imagine if he comes up here in February if they draw each other in the FA Cup."

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Brilliantly done from Romelu Lukaku! That's what he can do, beating his man for pace on the outside, moving the ball on to his left foot and thrashing a shot in against the near post.

  7. Postpublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

A scrappy start to the second half at The Hawthorns, nothing happening as of yet.

  8. Postpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Little sign of improvement so far from Tottenham, but Stoke have Victor Moses down with an injury. They used two subs in the first half, and can't afford to lose Moses already. However, it looks like he will be OK.

  9. Postpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Stadium of Light

"Romelu Lukaku's first touch was alright but his second touch as Costel Pantilimon got near to him only helped the Sunderland goalkeeper take the ball away.

"Judging by the first 45 minutes it will be the team that starts to tire and loses their concentration first that will lose this game."

  10. CLOSE!published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Sunderland hit the self destruct button yet again! They are allergic to keeping a clean sheet. Liam Bridcutt is the culprit on this occasion, poking a backpass woefully softly back toward his own goal, and sending Romelu Lukaku away.

A fully confident striker would lap this chance up, but the Belgian is hesitant, takes a poor touch and is eventually foiled by a sliding Costel Pantilimon in the Sunderland goal. Good goalkeeping, but he should score there

  11. Pochettino wrings the changespublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    James Scowcroft
BBC Radio London summariser at White Hart Lane

"I've seen some bad performances from teams this year, but it was just lifeless from Spurs in that first half. I'm not surprised to see Mousa Dembele come on, but Christian Eriksen and Andros Townsend are two players who can change the game in an instant, but now they've gone off."

  12. Postpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

West Brom have raised their tempo for the second half and almost create an opening when Tim Krul misjudges Chris Brunt's ball into Victor Anichebe and is happy to see it evade everyone and run to safety.

Craig Whyte:, external Spurs haven't been this bad since the Juande Ramos era. No guts, no spine, woeful. Far cry from our days under 'Harry. Disappointed.

Paul Harris:, external Spurs going downhill fast. When will Daneil Levy be held to account. He has presided over many false dawns, and managers. Not up to it.

Ruz:, external Based on tweets to #bbcfootball I can confidently state the mess at Spurs is down to the chairman, manager, and players. Business as usual.

  14. Postpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

West Brom earn an early corner. An instant response to going behind would lift the roof at The Hawthorns.

Ross Barkley moves the ball on to his left foot and cracks it from 20 yards, always rising, always over the top. Everton look the more likely side to score at the moment.

Duncan, Tonbridge: Mauricio Pochettino needs time but he also needs to operate under a chairman who hasn't repeatedly 'backed' but then sacked managers whilst constantly undermining them in buying and selling players from under them. The players play like they know that they will never be held accountable because a change of manager is never far away. Whatever, all I know is that if Daniel Levy himself was managed by the same standards, then he would've been sacked years ago.
