There has to come a point where Tottenham stick with a manager. Sacking Mauricio Pochettino a few months into a long-term contract would be crazy, no?
Glen Laker:, external You get the feeling Daniel Levy is sharpening his axe, even though that hasn't solved anything in four years.
Teez:, external Too many problems in the Spurs squad to fix. Probably two seasons away. Starts with a massive clearout in January. Squad is too big.
Colin Todd:, external How many Spurs managers get sacked before the chairman's position is questioned?
Gary Lineker
BBC Sport
"I see Spurs are maintaining their consistency. Consistently useless following Europa League trips. And that is a deliciously clever finish (see 14:!5) by Newcastle's Ayoze Perez!"
Ben Ashby:, external I want to give Mauricio Pochettino time, but we sacked Andre Villas-Boas when he was far superior? This is hard to watch.
David Haimes:, external Jordi Gomez should have got yellow for his dive (see 13:59). Until referees book divers regularly and consistently, players will keep doing it.
Craig Walker:, external While Liverpool and Spurs struggle, Newcastle have turned it around! Football is weird.

Nine games are under way in the FA Cup first round and already the goals are flying in. You can watch them soon after they scored by heading to our FA Cup live text commentary and clicking the highlights tab.
Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski:, external (Addressing Arsenal team-mate Aaron Ramsey) "So Aaron, explain to me again why we are in Wales to play an English league game? #confused."
Simon Brotherton
Match of the Day commentator
"Arsenal look to get back on track after that extraordinary collapse against Anderlecht in the Champions League with a visit to Swansea, who have slipped in recent weeks after an excellent start, winning only one of the last seven league games.
Defensive frailties were once again to the fore for Arsene Wenger's team. Clearly there are issues at the back and Swansea striker Wilfried Bony, who has scored three goals in the last two home matches, is just one player who will be eager to exploit any defensive uncertainty.
Swansea's home form has been good so far with 10 points from a possible 15, a figure bettered in the Premier League by only Chelsea and Southampton prior to this weekend."
MOTD2 Extra
Arsenal led 3-0 against Anderlecht in the Champions League before drawing 3-3. How do Arsenal respond?
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown: "You have to learn from it, you have to be more secure at the back. To lead 3-0 and ship three goals in the manner they did was unbelievable. They have to regroup and build from that now. Alexis Sanchez is the shining light taking their season forward at the moment. Swansea will be a tough game this afternoon."
Looking ahead to the late game, can Arsenal bounce back from that collapse against Anderlecht in midweek?
No news on the extent of that first-half injury to Everton midfielder Gareth Barry - we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything. It did not look good for the ex-England man though.
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Stadium of Light
"It's been intriguing but not it's not been great. Everton have shaded it in terms of possession and quality, but if it carries on like this we're unlikely to get a goal in the second half. Hopefully I'm wrong.
"All Sunderland's good play has come down their left flank. With Adam Johnson on the right you would have thought there would have been more coming from that wing, but Johnson's been quiet."
Alistair Mann
BBC Match of the Day commentator at the Stadium of Light
"The Sunderland fans stand to applaud the efforts of their players at half-time. Everton have had more of the possession, but arguably Sunderland have had the best chance with Jordi Gomez's shot blocked by the leg of Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard."
Spurs fans were clamouring for Harry Kane to have a chance in the Premier League - but he's had a quiet half.
He missed a good chance in the first few minutes but had just 15 touches, the fewest of any Spurs player bar the keeper.
Can he turn it around after the break?
Steve Wilson
BBC Match of the Day commentator at White Hart Lane
"Boos at the break as Stoke lead 2-0 at half-time. Bojan with the first, a wonderful goal, the second scored by Jon Walters, a simple one."
Matt Cartwright:, external Two down to Stoke, not shocked after our performance last week.
Matt Allen:, external Who actually signs Spurs players? Danny Rose is shocking, but Ben Davies doesn't get in the squad! Why sign him?!
Bruce Ha:, external Spurs' centre-backs make Manchester United's pairing of Paddy McNair and Michael Carrick look very good.
Boos ring out at White Hart Lane. Not too clever from Spurs, Stoke looking excellent on the break and scored two fine goals.
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Stadium of Light
"The best chances today had come on the break, but Everton did well defending under pressure during three consecutive Sunderland attacks. The home side just seem to lack belief and a bit of final quality in the penalty area. Anthony Reveillere has done really well so far today, he's got in dangerous positions going forward."
