  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    Steve Bower
BBC Match of the Day commentator at The Hawthorns

"Ayoze Perez only cost Newcastle £1.5m from Tenerife in the summer, and the 21-year-old now has three goals in three games. It was a tight first half until Perez stepped up with that really impressive finish."

Wow! What a goal this is! Completely out of sorts with the rest of the game! Have Newcastle found a gem in Ayoze Perez? He steers in the opener with a fabulous piece of technique, backheeling Daryl Janmaat's cross into the corner from 12 yards. Really, really good finish...

Chris Beattie:, external What has Mauricio Pochettino done to Christian Eriksen? Was our most creative player last season and has looked jaded since August!

Have you met Will?:, external Daniel Levy has sacked managers and sold star players until we're the average mess we are today.

Sirhan alSirhan:, external Odds on Pochettino still being in job after international break?

  4. Postpublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    James Scowcroft
BBC Radio London summariser at White Hart Lane

"Spurs are just very static as a team. Stoke have made it exceptionally hard, but Spurs don't help themselves. People like Christian Eriksen need to move more, find some space and escape their markers.

"It just looks like some of these players don't have the belief that they should have."

  5. Postpublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Sunderland have improved in the last few minutes, their pressure has increased and they seem to be working much harder. Sylvain Distin is hounded into giving the ball away at the back for Everton, to the delight of the home fans.

  6. Postpublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

This game is crying out for half-time now. Saido Berahino shows great vision to pick out Andre Wisdom's surge from full-back, but the subsequent cross goes out of play. Poor.

  7. Postpublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Poor old Danny Rose. He's coming under some heavy criticism from you lot out there...

Danny Wilson:, external Erik Lamela, Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier and Roberto Soldado should have started. Harry Kane is alone and defence is dreadful. Mauricio Pochettino has had a stinker.

Shohidur Rahman:, external You'd have to go a long way to find worse full-backs than Kyle Naughton and Danny Rose. Absolutely atrocious.

Daniel Stack:, external We could replace Rose with a traffic cone and have a better back four.

  9. Postpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Stadium of Light

"Darron Gibson has just apologised to Tim Howard for that mistake which led to a chance for Jordi Gomez. He was still sat on the bench there, not tuned into the game.

"For Sunderland's penalty appeal (see 13:59) I actually thought Gomez threw himself to the floor. The referee got that one absolutely right."

On hearing Spurs have gone 2-0 down at home to Stoke: "Why did Spurs ever sell Michael Dawson? He was their best defender, a really outstanding centre-half. That was a really strange decision."

  10. Postpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

After a slow start, it's the Baggies who are finishing the half as the better team. Whenever they appear to find an opening, though, Fabricio Coloccini is there to mop up the danger.

  11. Route one Rose costs Spurspublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    James Scowcroft
BBC Radio London summariser at White Hart Lane

"This is really, really poor play from Tottenham. Danny Rose gets the ball deep in his own half and just hits a 60-yard ball that Ryan Shawcross can just mop up.

"It's good play by Stoke and a good finish from Jon Walters, but really poor from Spurs, Danny Rose has got to keep the ball, but he just plays route one stuff up to Harry Kane instead, he's got no chance of getting the ball.

"The back four just looks wide open, without any protection. Tottenham need to get a grip here."

  12. CLOSE!published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Sunderland are giving Spurs a run for their money when it comes to flat home performances. It's all Everton, and Ross Barkley is close to the the opener, getting on the end of a fine move but his low shot is blocked by the sliding Liam Bridcutt.

Instantly, Sunderland do raise it, with Jordi Gomez firing at Tim Howard.

I thought Tottenham were poor at Villa Park last Sunday - and they are at it again today. Such a bad goal to concede as Stoke collect Danny Rose's slack clearance, Mame Diouf breaks into the area and squares for Jon Walters - who applies the finish with his left foot.

Silence from the home fans. Joy from the away end.

Everton continue to look slick in their build-up and go close to a spectacular opener! Aiden McGeady leans back and hammers in a left-footer which whistles past the post...

  16. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Very interesting! Sunderland want a penalty as Jordi Gomez goes down right on the edge of the box. Nothing is given by referee Lee Mason, and on second glance Gomez was looking for that.

Phil Jagielka turned his back on the midfielder, who then ran into Jagielka and went down. Gomez was booked for that early foul on Gareth Barry and could have been sent off on another day.

  17. Bend it like Bojanpublished at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    BojanImage source, Getty Images

Bojan is looking very lively indeed for Stoke after his opener at White Hart Lane. The much-travelled forward, who has previously played for Barcelona, Milan and Roma, last scored in May for Ajax in a 2-2 draw with NEC.

One of his team-mate's that day was Daley Blind. Wonder if the Manchester United man will do a better job of stopping Bojan than the Tottenham defence when Stoke head to Old Trafford on 2 December?

  18. Postpublished at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Good defending from Paul Dummett, who slides in before Saido Berahino can get another shot away in the penalty area after more good link-up play with Victor Anichebe.

Harry Wates:, external Spurs sloppy start again. They escaped last time but can they keep getting away with conceding these early goals?

Tom Thrall:, external I don't doubt Mauricio Pochettino as a manager, but the team he inherited is dire, and don't suite his style of play. Get Harry Redknapp back.

Paul Moore:, external Spurs continue to look awful. Daniel Levy needs to put the mighty Jurgen in the hot seat. Tottenham Kloppspur, perhaps?
