  2. Postpublished at 09:44 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2014

Football writer Amy Lawrence believes Jose Mourinho keeps saying that Chelsea will lose in the Premier League this season because... he wants to go unbeaten.

    Let her explain.

"It feels like Mourinho knows the Premier League needs to be more competitive for Chelsea. He knows he has got a team better than everybody else. He knows he has handled difficult away games.

"And the idea of doing something he hasn't done yet - going through a season unbeaten - appeals to him."

  3. Berahino can be proud - Incepublished at 09:40 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2014

Former England skipper Paul Ince says West Brom striker Saido Berahino should be full of confidence when he faces Chelsea - despite missing out on his full international debut.

Berahino, 21, was left on the bench for Tuesday's friendly against Scotland.

"He will be disappointed because he's a very good young striker. But that's all he is at this moment in time - a young striker with loads of potential," says Ince.

"To be involved in the full England squad is the next step for an Under 21 player, so he's closer to getting there. That's the biggest accolade you can have."

Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle is fit despite a recent illness, while striker Diego Costa has fully recovered from niggling hamstring and groin problems. The Blues hope Cesc Fabregas will be able to play despite a hamstring injury, but Nathan Ake is ruled out with a similar complaint.

Craig Gardner could return to the West Brom line-up after serving a ban. Jonas Olsson and Sebastien Pocognoli are likely to remain out with Achilles and hamstring injuries respectively.

We move into the Championship for the latest newspaper back page and the Daily Mirror focuses on the quotes from Cardiff owner Vincent Tan concerning Wigan chairman Dave Whelan and the Latics' appointment of ex-Cardiff boss Malky Mackay.

Whelan has apologised for remarks he used in a controversial newspaper interview where he made comments about Jewish and Chinese people described as "offensive" by West Ham owner David Gold. Both Whelan and Mackay have denied they are racist.

Burnley are aiming to win an away Premier League game for the first time this season when they face Stoke. QPR could also move out of the bottom three, but travel to in-form Newcastle.

The three teams that won promotion to the Premier League are stuck in the bottom three. Leicester are 18th and will be hoping to defeat Sunderland.

    Premier League table

Manchester United have won the Premier League title 13 times, Arsenal on three occasions. But both sides need to sort themselves out this year, if they are to catch Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

The leaders will be expecting to take all three points when they entertain West Brom, while Manchester City face a tough test against Garry Monk's Swansea side, who find themselves fifth in the table.

Second-placed Southampton play Aston Villa in the Monday night game.

  11. Man Utd should have kept Welbeck - Incepublished at 09:18 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2014

Former Manchester United skipper Paul Ince believes his former club should not have allowed Danny Welbeck to join Arsenal.

"When he left Manchester United it was a shock to me," says Ince. "He has got pace to get behind teams and create gaps for others to exploit.

"I think it was a bad, bad decision to let him go. He offers something different to what Manchester United have got. They haven't got pace - Rooney is not the quickest, neither is Van Persie and Falcao is injured.

"Since he has gone to Arsenal his performances have been fantastic. I don't think he has got anything to prove to Manchester United."

The big game of the day is at Emirates Stadium as Arsenal play Manchester United. Gunners striker Danny Welbeck will be desperate to play and prove his ex-boss Louis van Gaal wrong.

However, the England striker is a doubt because of a hamstring injury he picked up during England's 3-1 win against Scotland.

The back page of The Sun leads off on an interview with Van Gaal, who says he and previous managers Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes did not rate the striker as a first-team player.
