"I've not seen much of Leeds player Tomasso Bianchi this season and I've not seen much of him tonight."

The Derby boot is firmly on Leeds' throat. The away side have been given no room to play at all this half and they have nothing in the locker to change it and effect the game. Long balls forward to unimposing strikers are way too east for Derby to deal with. The Rams look content with 2-0. The home side could probably have had more goals but why expend energy going for that when there is no danger at the other end?

  4. RED CARD FOR WIGANpublished at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

    Callum McManamanImage source, PA

Minutes after entering the fray as a substitute Callum McManaman exits surrounded by players as protestations over his sending off engulf the referee.

The Wigan winger gets a straight red for a thunderous tackle on Wednesday substitute Claude Dielna. The ball definitely gets caught but it looks on first glance that McManaman goes through his man to get it.

Latics down to 10 with around 20 minutes left.

  5. Postpublished at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Leeds can't get near Derby. It is way too easy for the home side, who force a corner that Lewis Cook initially heads clear before Marco Silvestri is forced to punch clear from a return ball into the mixer.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Wigan think they have the lead as Ben Watson's delivery from a free-kick is turned in by the offside James McClean. It is the last action for Watson, who makes way for Roger Espinoza.

Fair play to the Leeds fans. Their team is heading for defeat here but they have been singing for pretty much the entirety of the second half. Meanwhile, on the pitch Jordon Ibe heads wide from close range for Derby.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

The man making way for Billy Sharp is the totally ineffectual Souleymane Doukara. I could have used that description for pretty much every one of Leeds attacking players, though.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Wigan threaten for the first time in the second period as James McClean forces a save from Keiren Westwood but Malky Mackay follows the action with a change. Callum McManaman replaces Marc-Antoine Fortune.

  11. Postpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

We are going to have a Leeds change and it is a goalscorer coming on. Billy Sharp is getting stripped off.

  12. Postpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

There are just under 30 minutes to go at the iPro. Leeds simply have to do something positive here or they are limping to defeat. Derby are totally in control and comfortable. Leeds have the time but do they have the desire and talent? You suspect, no.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Sheffield Wednesday introduce Claude Dielna for defender Joe Mattock. A tight second half so far with little in the way of openings.

  14. GOALpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Seventeenth goal of the season for Daryl Murphy, who scored twice in the Boxing Day win over Brentford. The Irishman heads in David McGoldrick's corner from close range into the top-left corner.

  15. Postpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

That was a chance for Leeds. Mirco Antenucci has the ball on a tight angle on the left following an Alex Mowatt corner but his shot towards goal is blocked by Lee Grant. That is likely to class as their first shot on target, but it comes to nothing.

    Robbie Savage

"This Leeds team look hopeless, it will be a struggle to stay up. They haven't got a leader. I have seen great Leeds teams playing with energy and passion but they have been very poor."

  17. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Charlton pushing forward as they search for the equaliser. Brilliant defending by Christophe Berra stops George Tucudean from causing trouble inside the box, while moments earlier Bartosz Bialkowski comfortably gathered a curling Johann Berg Gudmundsson effort. The visitors yet to cause Ipswich major trouble though.

  18. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Deby look a threat every time they go forward now. It should be 3-0 as Craig Forsyth's cross from the left is headed wide by Chris Martin. Leeds are in disarray. Derby are easing to three points.

  19. Postpublished at 21:00 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Leeds get a glimpse of the ball in the Derby box with a chipped pass to Mirko Antenucci but he is muscled off the ball by Richard Keogh. Leeds' failure to test Lee Grant continues.

  20. CLOSE!published at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2014

Wigan v Sheffield WednesdayImage source, PA

If anyone is going to break the deadlock at the DW Stadium Lewis McGugan looks most likely. He is having a bang from all angles tonight and goes right footed from range to test Scott Carson.
