"I am not a manager and I haven't done my coaching badges but I can see that this system is not working for Leeds, why can't Neil Redfearn?"
Will Hughes goes for glory with a curling shot from the edge of the box after being found by Johnny Russell. It is too close to Marco Silvestri, though, and he can grasp the ball. Leeds look a shell of a side at the moment. They can't keep hold of the ball. There are over 35 minutes to go and they already look buried.
All of the onus is on Leeds now to make something happen here. They were content to sit back in the first half but they need much, much more now. Do they have that in their locker. Previous games this season would suggest not. Derby continue to look the more positive and Leeds have still yet to threaten the Derby goal.
Jon Allen:, external Derby County have a great infrastructure and decent backers so well set to re-establish in Premier League - best footballing team in Championship by far!
The Rams go third if they hold on here.

Liam Cooper is tugged back but still slides through John Eustace. The Leeds defender has the free-kick, but also a yellow card.

"A stupid challenge from Tommaso Bianchi, the push on Jordon Ibe was needless. A good delivery from Jeff Hendrick and Jake Buxton uses his strength and good movement to head into the top corner. A simple goal."
It is the best possible start to the second half for Derby. They have a free-kick on the right byeline, which Jeff Hendrick delivers and Jake Buxton guides into the top corner with a well-placed header. That could well be the decisive blow. You can't see Leeds coming back from this.

"You just cannot see Leeds getting a goal. What goes through a manager's head at half-time? Neil Redfearn's side didn't have a shot in the first half, why hasn't he changed anything? If Derby get the second goal, there is no way back for Leeds."
And the action is back under way...
Here we go... the final 45 minutes of football of 2014. So far it's been a pretty limp display featuring a couple of soggy bangers and a knackered Catherine Wheel but hopefully the managers will be giving the players a rocket or two at the break. Lets give the year a proper send of eh lads?
As it stands, Ipswich will head into 2015 second in the table, with Derby hot on their heels in third, two points worse off. At the other end, Wigan will still be in the bottom three, with Leeds nervously staring over their shoulder in 20th. Wednesday and Charlton are stuck in mid-table.
Lewis McGugan flashes a shot at Scott Carson late in the half and it squirms under the goalkeeper who gathers it at the second attempt. A touch of fortune at a critical time as the referee brings to and end a goalless first half.
Wigan started vibrantly but have been bettered as the game progressed.

"I just want to see Leeds more in the final third. They have no width with his diamond system and cannot get anyone on the ball. Neil Redfearn needs to change it at half-time.
"Derby are in the ascendancy and playing with lots of confidence, the wingers and full-backs are doing very well. Leeds need to get the ball forward quicker."
"It's a regular occurrence these days, Ipswich are in front," says BBC Radio 5 live's Mike Swell.
"The goal was scored by defender Tommy Smith, poaching at the far post. Prior to that, Ipswich had hit the post and right at half-time another one David McGoldrick's set-pieces caused Charlton some problems."
And there is half-time. For much of the first 45, Leeds did well to contain Derby but a moment of attacking skill from Will Hughes and an unfortunate stab from Alex Mowatt means the home side have the lead they just about deserve and Leeds have some serious rethinking to do.
We are into three minutes of added time. Derby force a corner as they look to hammer home their advantage. Leeds head clear at the near post and then win a free-kick to relieve the pressure.
Charlton have gone close to equalising since going behind, but George Tucudean's effort was saved by Bartosz Bialkowski and the subsequent rebound headed off the line by Christophe Berra.
Derby go close to making it 2-0 just before half-time as a free-kick is swung in and flicked towards goal by Richard Keogh and turned behind by Marco Silvestri. From the resulting corner, Jordon Ibe is giving a shooting chance, which he hits well but straight into the gloves of the Leeds keeper. Derby very much in the ascendency now.
Lewis McGugan is the latest Sheffield Wednesday player to threaten Wigan, his shot from range whistles just wide. Wednesday have fully settled and centre-back Tom Lees can't quite turn a corner into the net with Scott Carson flapping in the Wigan goal.

"Alex Mowatt is quite unfortunate there. Johnny Russell is behind him waiting for the ball but great play from Will Hughes in the build up to the goal."
