  1. Thumbs up for midweek football

    Frank Lampard

If the world is ending (see below), then we had better pack up and enjoy our final moments on this beautiful planet.

But I'm confident that Derryn - like former Argentina goalkeeper and fellow doom-monger, Carlos Roa - is wrong. And that means we'll be back on Tuesday for another evening of Premier League fun. See you then!

  2. Join the debate on the BBC Sport Facebook page

Derryn Davies Fry: Roberto Soldado, Chris Smalling, Joe Cole, Gael Clichy and Glen Johnson have all scored this weekend. The world is ending.

Colin John Rudd: Normal service to be resumed by Christmas for the big four? Chelsea top, Manchester City second, Manchester United third and Arsenal fourth? I wouldn't bet against it.

Lee Longstaff: It's a shame because Southampton were making the Premier League interesting. Now it's back to, at best, a two horse race but really I won't be surprised if some bookies start paying out on Chelsea in March!

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason: Great three points today! Our fans were brilliant throughout and got us through them last 20 minutes! Buzzing.

Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb: What a win! Great work from all the lads!

  4. Midweek treat

The Premier League matches are coming thick and fast. Not just for Koeman and Southampton, but for the whole top-flight. We have a pre-Christmas treat of a full midweek programme....

  5. Manager reaction on Twitter

    Southampton 0-3 Man City

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman: Saints overpowered in the second half of a difficult game. Disappointing result. Now onwards and focus on our next match.

That's right, Ronald. On to the next match...against Arsenal. Then Manchester United...

  6. Player reaction on Twitter

    Southampton 0-3 Man City

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero: "Happy for a victory against a tough rival that hadn't lost in their turf so far. We're closer now! C'mon, City! And very excited for my first 100 matches in the Premier League! Thanks everyone!"

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure: Fantastic result! Thank you for your support today City fans. Hope you enjoyed my goal!

  7. Post update

    Southampton 0-3 Man City

And what about Manchester City? In fairness to Roberto Martinez, the champions have not hit the heights of previous seasons - until today, that is.

City produced an impressive display at Southampton, winning 3-0 to pose questions of the Champions League credentials of their hosts.

  8. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Erm Roberto, have you forgotten about Chelsea? You know, the team which is walking away with the Premier League title. Perhaps the Spaniard is trying to erase this August scoreline from his mind....

  9. Manager reaction

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Everton manager Roberto Martinez on Everton's hopes this season: "The margins are really small in the league. For me, the two outstanding teams so far have been West Ham and Southampton. But it's too early to talk about where we are going to finish."

On Ross Barkley's display: "Ross was fresh and looked a real threat. He's a young man who made decisions in the right areas today. I encourage him to take risks."

On James McCarthy's hamstring injury: "There's nothing new yet. Obviously James has a hamstring problem so we are going to take bit of time and make sure he is fully recovered."

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

I bet Roberto Soldado is happy man. He will be able to pick up a kebab from Seven Sisters Road on his way home from the Lane tonight, and not worry about the Spurs fan behind the counter spiking it with a huge dollop of extra hot chilli sauce. Perfect end to a perfect day.

  12. Player reaction on Twitter

    Soldado

Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado: What a moment! Great win today. Three points very important.

  13. PLAYER REACTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

    Jagielka

Everton defender Phil Jagielka, speaking to Sky Sports: "We played well for large spells but unfortunately gave the second goal away and after that we were chasing it. Christian Eriksen managed to mishit the shot and send three of our players the wrong way.

"They pressed us really high and there were quite a few fouls, I felt we could have had better protection from the referee, and that allowed them to keep coming at us.

"The fixture list was maybe a bit kinder to them in that we had two away games back to back. You would rather sleep in your own bed and have a bit more of a lie in, but we are not making excuses about it. That is part and parcel of playing in two competitions. We played pretty well but didn't keep the 1-0 lead long enough to make them nervous."

  14. MANAGER REACTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino on Everton's claim they should have been given a late penalty (see 89 mins): "I didn't see it from my position at the time, but I've seen it on television since. It was not a penalty."

  15. Text us on 81111

Harvey, Belfast: Everton players looked jaded today from a massive performance at Wolfsburg. Still, should've had a penalty and Christian Eriksen should've had two yellows. Them's the breaks.

  16. Post update

    Phil Jagielka
  17. Player reaction

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Everton captain Phil Jagielka: "There were a few tackles flying in that weren't punished, but fair play to Tottenham because they deserved the win. I'm not sure playing away in the Europa League on Thursday affected us. We had a few faces that didn't play or travel to Germany. We're not going to make it an excuse. We played quite well and kept the ball, but didn't keep the lead long enough."

  20. PLAYER REACTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

More from Tottenham forward Harry Kane, speaking to BBC Sport: "They got the early goal, the guy pulled off a wonderful strike and sometimes you have to put your hands up. But we dug deep, we got the goal back quickly and the second after half-time, and we hung on. It feels very good, I'm delighted.

"A direct attacking style is something I have had since I was a kid, whenever I see space I like to run into it and push the centre-halves back. I got a bit today and managed to do that. Hopefully I can continue to perform and we can continue to pick up wins for the team

"Roberto Soldado has been playing great recently, he just needed a goal to get that confidence. I'm delighted for him and hopefully he can get many more."

  21. MANAGER REACTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

    Pochettino

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino urges his team to maintain the standard set in the win against Everton: "It shows we have character and that we are brave. Because it was difficult in the beginning, the first shot they score, but we played very aggressive during our game and started to show our style. We need to be aggressive with and without the ball and if we play with this intensity we can win with our style and develop. Today is a good example of what we want in our future."

  22. Stat attack

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Spurs have gained nine points from losing positions this season, the joint-most in the Premier League with Chelsea.

  23. MANAGER REACTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Sky Sports: "Today I showed my emotion, I was happy because I know our players suffer a lot and our supporters too. It was a good chance to give this present of three points to our fans. It is important to enjoy this feeling with the team.

"We need to keep this mentality and try to show the same in the next game. Always you need the time to set your philosophy but today we are very pleased with the three points."

  24. MANAGER REACTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

    Roberto Martinez

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "The result is really difficult to take. It's harsh because we performed really well but after we scored we couldn't impose ourselves and take ourselves away from Spurs. We gave everything we had to get an equaliser."

On playing away in the Europa League on Thursday: "I don't want to see that as an excuse. None of the breaks went in our favour. I coudn't be happier with the energy we showed in our performance."

On Everton's late penalty appeal: "It is a split decision and you have to understand the referee to be in a perfect position to see that. It should have been spotted."

  25. FULL-TIME

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

A lot has been made about Tottenham's Europa League hangovers. But, forget paracetamol, a concoction of solid defending and clinical finishing has made them feel better today.

This is only Spurs' second win of the season on the weekend after their continental exertions. Everton, who played at Wolfsburg in Germany on Thursday remember, have only won once after playing in Europe.

Tottenham forward Harry Kane, speaking to Sky Sports: "It feels good to get the win, it was a tough game against a great side. It's great to be playing with players you've come through the ranks with. We worked hard for each other."

On Roberto Soldado's goal, scored on the counter: "We've been working on pressing high and creating opportunities, I caught him on the ball and we countered to get the goal. It's good to see that working on the pitch."

  33. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Former Tottenham manager David Pleat at White Hart Lane

    BBC Radio 5 live

"A thrilling finish to a match of aggressive and fast flowing football. I thought Everton were terrific at times but Tottenham held firm. Everton had only lost one game away from home this season before today. They had plenty of possession but I think Roberto Martinez will say his side did not create enough shooting chances. A brilliant game full of wonderful performances."

  43. Text us on 81111

Simon, York: Once again Erik Lamela is setting a shocking example for the kids watching at home. First he was praised for scoring a so called rabona instead of using his weaker foot, and now he's wearing gloves to play a football match in the south of England. He shouldn't be allowed on television before the watershed!

Guy, Reading: Hold on to your hats Spurs fans - we're in for a bumpy late ride! Keep solid at the back at hit them on the counter.

Neal: Late drama. I reckon Everton will nick a point...

  44. Final five

    Harry Kane
  46. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Former Tottenham manager David Pleat at White Hart Lane

    BBC Radio 5 live

"Roberto Soldado has had to drop down to the reserves, he's seen other players come in and take his place, but I haven't seen a word of complaint from him in all this time. He's just tried to make a success of it and I think that's commendable.

"Tottenham have to keep their shape from here. They are in front and are leading but Everton are coming strong. Marucio Pochettino will be delighted if his side can see this one out."

  47. SUBSTITUTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Standing ovations for Roberto Soldado at White Hart Lane have been rare. But he is treated to one now - and it is richly deserved. The Spanish goalscorer is replaced by defensive midfielder Paulinho as Spurs look to shut up shop.

Here's a chance. Leighton Baines hovers over a free-kick about 35 yards out from the Spurs goal. It's too far for the Alex Turner lookalike to shoot, so instead he lobs one up into the mixer. But it is met by a Spurs head - and the sight of the linesman's flag for an offside against the Toffees.

  50. Final fifteen

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Still Everton press. Substitute Aidan McGeady feeds Seamus Coleman as he thunders down the right touchline, but Spurs left-back Ben Davies sticks his wiry frame in the way of the Irishman's cross.

  51. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Former Tottenham manager David Pleat at White Hart Lane

    BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton are looking strong at the moment, while Tottenham are finding it difficult to get hold of the ball. Eric Dier and Erik Lamela have both been struggling with the defensive side of the game since they came on."

  52. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Good spell for Everton. Seamus Coleman is fully in the thick of things, this time smashing a cross from the right out for a Spurs goal-kick. Cue groans from the away fans perched behind the Spurs net.

  53. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Everton carve open the Spurs defence - but can't take advantage. Ross Barkley's clever throughball spots the run of marauding right-back Seamus Coleman, who bursts in to the penalty area from the right. But Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris races off his line to smother.

Luke Groszewski: Everton are missing James McCarthy. One of those players that you don't notice how important they are until they are not playing.

  55. SUBSTITUTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Vlad Chiriches, who was booked a few moments ago, is off. After picking up an injury. The Romanian, playing as a makeshift right-back, limps off the White Hart Lane pitch and is replaced by Eric Dier. Who is a another makeshift right-back.

  56. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Rare spell of Everton possession in opposition territory. Leighton Baines swings in a swirling cross from the left, Leon Osman picks up the scraps of Spurs clearance just inside the box, but the hosts side regroup to clear.

  57. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

That's right David - Spurs have played at a sweat-inducing tempo. Another quick ball from Nabil Bentaleb looks for man-of-the-moment Harry Kane, but it is too strong for the England Under-21 forward.

  58. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Former Tottenham manager David Pleat at White Hart Lane

    BBC Radio 5 live

"I wouldn't have changed anything if I were Mauricio Pochettino. This is much quicker than some of the pedantic and patient play we have seen from Tottenham in recent weeks. They are playing an altogether faster and more direct game. It shows great faith in Erik Lamela though."

And that prompts Spurs into a reshuffle. Aaron Lennon trots off, high fiving his replacement Erik Lamela.

    Erik Lamela
  61. SUBSTITUTION

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

All change. Everton make a double substitution as midfield pair Leon Osman and Aidan McGeady replace Samuel Eto'o and Kevin Mirallas. That doesn't appear to be the most offensive of double changes. But who am I to question Roberto Martinez's tactical wisdom.

Spurs are banging heavily on that Everton door now - like an angry bailiff. Ryan Mason slashes a long-range shot wide.

  63. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Almost a second for Spurs! Defender Federico Fazio is a size 11 boot away from cleanly connecting with Christian Eriksen's teasing cross. The Dane's ball goes straight down the corridor of uncertainty between Everton keeper Tim Howard and his defence, but the Toffees survive.

    Christian Eriksen

  65. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Former Tottenham manager David Pleat at White Hart Lane

    BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton have had more of the ball but they look a little bit exposed down the middle when Tottenham break. There is a little bit of space between Gareth Barry and Sylvain Distin you feel Spurs might exploit.

"We cannot criticise the man in black today, mainly because the referee is actually in a green shirt, but when you have two teams of contrasting styles and one playing on the counter, the officials do so well to keep up."

  66. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Wonder what the pre-match odds for a Roberto Soldado brace were? The Spanish striker looks a different man as he heads wide Ben Davies' cross. Close, but not close enough.

  67. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Who needs patient passing football when you can lump the ball forward? Spurs go route one - a la Wimbledon - as a long ball from Vlad Chiriches splits apart the napping Everton defence.

Roberto Soldado does his best Alan Cork impression as he gamely chases, but the speedy Seamus Coleman nips across to clear the danger.

  68. Post update

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Still Everton prod and probe as Spurs can barely get out of their own half. Toffees midfielder Gareth Barry spots Seamus Coleman skulking at the far post, but the England man's delivery is too strong for the Irishman.

    BBC Radio 5 live

"Although this game has been quite evenly matched, Tottenham have had more attempts on goal than Everton and that is largely down to Harry Kane, who has been shooting on sight. I'm so pleased for him, he has taken to first team football like a duck to water.

"I've also been very impressed with Federico Fazio, he's been very controlled at the back. He was very much a Mauricio Pochettino signing and this is the first game where he has looked comfortable."

  82. GOAL

Tottenham 2-1 Everton - Roberto Soldado (45 mins)

Tottenham come from behind to take the lead again. A fabulous finish by Roberto Soldado who keeps his composure to fire low past Tim Howard after Aaron Lennon's clever pass. Poor defending by Everton but take nothing away from Soldado. That was a super goal.

  109. MANAGER REACTION

    Southampton 0-3 Man City

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, speaking to Sky Sports: "I am very pleased. We beat a very good team. They were second in the table and deserved that position. We played a very good game it was important to have a clean sheet again, they had just one chance in the 90 minutes and that is important for the trust in our team, and to score three goals against the best defence is also very important.

"I told the referee he must decide if it is a penalty or not, I was sure it was not yellow card. I know [Sergio Aguero], he does not try to cheat the referee. But after it was important to open the game, it was close in the first 45 minutes and we continued working as a team in defence and attack until we scored.

"[After Eliaquim Mangala being sent off and Vincent Kompany coming off injured] we don't have both but we have Martin Demichelis and Dedryck Boyata, who is working very well, and Bacary Sagna can also play centre-back.

"We cannot know if Vincent Kompany has a problem with his hamstring, we will see with the doctor tomorrow. It was a precaution, we will see if it is a cramp or injury."

"Both teams have taken their foot off the gas ever so slightly before the break, they are both just trying to keep possession when they get it. Very few teams can keep the ball as well as Manchester City. They are not hurried in any way, but just control their passing looking for an opening."

"It took 20 minutes but Saints finally tested Joe Hart and it has sparked everyone into life on and off the pitch with the home side now on the offensive, manager Ronald Koeman urging winger Sadio Mane to push forward. At the other end Toby Alderweireld shows his worth with a fine double block. This is warming up nicely.

  184. CLOSE!

    Southampton 0-0 Man City

So close for City. And I mean CLOSE. Sami Nasri releases Stevan Jovetic who shoots beats Saints keeper Fraser Forster but Toby Alderweireld is in the right place to hack the ball clear. Southampton breathe a sight of relief.

A late Danny Ings penalty rescued a point for Burnley, and denied Aston Villa a first win in nine matches on Saturday. Here is a selection of your comments in reaction, taken from the BBC Sport Facebook page.

Patricia Gill: I think Aston Villa have been the unluckiest team in the Premier League so far and are due a bit of luck now. They keep meeting teams who they would be expected to beat when they are on a good run. West Ham, Southampton and Burnley for example. A lot of influential players are out injured as well but I feel the tide will turn on Tuesday night with the return of Christian Benteke, he was just getting back to form when the sending off happened. They are well capable of going on a run when they get the win under their belt.

    Burnley v Villa

Andrew Smith: Paul Lambert will be next out the door. Two and a half (nearly) seasons of utter garbage and he gets rewarded with a new contract! Equally as bizarre as Gabriel Agbonlahor getting the same.

Manchester United moved up to fourth in the Premier League table with a 3-0 win at home to Hull on Saturday.

  249. 'Cattermole was terrific'

    Sunderland 0-0 Chelsea

    Former England midfielder Danny Murphy

    Match of the Day pundit

"There were some terrific performances but Lee Cattermole was the pick of them. He was blocking, leading his team, all afternoon he was at it. He can play as well, he wasn't just whacking it forward. Seb Larsson and Jack Rodwell were brilliant with him as well. The more the game went on the better Sunderland got."

  250. 'Costa gets on people's nerves'

    Sunderland 0-0 Chelsea

Former Man Utd midfielder Paul Ince

    Match of the Day pundit

"I love Diego Costa. He's an old fashioned centre forward, he gets on people's nerves.

"He has a little lash at John O'Shea by the letter of the law, and what we saw at Hull against Tottenham he should be off, but credit to O'Shea for not making too much of it."

    Chelsea v Sunderland

Sunderland held Premier League leaders Chelsea to a goalless draw at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Here is a selection of your comments in reaction, taken from the BBC Sport Facebook page.

Curtis Nickle: Sunderland deserved the draw if not more. Great defensive and counter attacking play, they really did frustrate us, well played.

Paul Higgins: Chelsea had loads of possession but never really hurt us. We looked more likely to score than them and Diego Costa could have been sent off twice.

David Banda: I think Sunderland were tough, but Costa behaved like he is still in La Liga - I'm a Barcelona fan, I know how he behaves. Good game to Sunderland, it wasn't easy. Chelsea have good team this season.

  252. Mourinho on 'clever' booking

    Sunderland 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says striker Diego Costa's fifth booking of the season was a result of "clever" defending by Sunderland. The Premier League leaders failed to score for the first time this season as they drew 0-0 at the Stadium of Light.

Costa was booked after catching Wes Brown in the face as the pair jumped for the ball and is suspended for Wednesday's match against Tottenham. "Brown is very experienced and he used his body," added Mourinho.

  254. 'Steve Bruce won't hit the panic button'

    Man Utd 3-0 Hull

Former Man Utd midfielder Paul Ince

    Match of the Day pundit

    Hull City

"Hull boss Steve Bruce has got plenty of experience. It won't be a case of panicking just yet but he knows they have to start creating and scoring goals. He'll be disappointed with the performance, that's for sure."

  255. Toothless Tigers

    Man Utd 3-0 Hull

And what of Hull City, now 17th after four straight league defeats and with matches against Everton and Chelsea on the horizon? Paul Ince is not impressed with what he saw from Steve Bruce's men.

  256. 'Man Utd improving'

    Man Utd 3-0 Hull

Former Man Utd midfielder Paul Ince

    Match of the Day pundit

"Louis van Gaal said it would be a work in progress. He's had a nightmare with injuries, especially defensively. His ambition is to finish in the top four, he's not looking to win the league. They are slightly improving game by game."

  257. 'Van Persie getting back to his best'

    Man Utd 3-0 Hull

    Former England midfielder Danny Murphy

    Match of the Day pundit

Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie

"Robin van Persie is on the way back. He wasn't perfect but showed glimpses of why he has been kept in the team. There were some brilliant connections with Wayne Rooney which we haven't seen recently. It was a wonderful strike from a player who has been struggling with confidence.

"He's got immense quality, he's set his standards so high that when he falls short he gets criticised. There is still more to come."

  258. 'Van Persie can do better'

    Man Utd 3-0 Hull

The Daily Star Sunday's back page says Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has told striker Robin van Persie that he can still do better despite scoring a wonderful goal in the easy 3-0 win over Hull City.

It was Van Persie's first United goal for more than a month. Van Gaal's side have won their last three Premier League games - their best sequence since he took charge in the summer.

  259. Wenger unconcerned by criticism

    West Brom 0-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal fans

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is not concerned by criticism from a section of the club's supporters. The Gunners ended a run of nine years without a trophy by winning the FA Cup in May, but have not won the league since 2004 and are currently sixth.

Fans at the 1-0 win over West Brom had a banner urging Wenger to resign. "We live in a society of total opinion but we live off not what we say but what we do and what we do is on the pitch," the 65-year-old Frenchman added.

  260. Post update

    West Brom 0-1 Arsenal

    Former England midfielder Danny Murphy

    Match of the Day pundit

Arsenal's Danny Welbeck and Oliver Giroud

"This game showed Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud can play in the same team. Welbeck started on the left and didn't throw his toys out, he worked as hard as anybody, he did not stop making runs.

"They mixed up their positions really well and in the second half it was Welbeck who made the difference. He wants to get himself a goal and what a leap it was. Desire and application is undeniable. The quality, which some people question, was there as well."

  261. Time to say goodbye, Arsene?

    West Brom 0-1 Arsenal

    Sunday Express

His side have booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League for the 17th successive season. But it appears some Arsenal fans are still keen for Arsene Wenger to call time on his 18 year reign at the club.

The Sunday Express reports disgruntled fans unfurled a banner during Saturday's 1-0 win at West Brom stating 'Arsene - thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye'.

The Gunners are 13 points behind leaders Chelsea despite victory at The Hawthorns.

  264. 'Strange game for Liverpool'

    Liverpool 1-0 Stoke

    Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy

    Match of the Day pundit

"Stoke played well, especially in the first half, they kept the ball well. They lost Steve Sidwell which didn't help, losing his bite.

"For Liverpool it was a strange game, they started quite lacklustre, there was a lack of energy and they were too deep. They did play in Europe midweek but they were slow. They didn't have Steven Gerrard dropping deep to get the ball. They were edgy which is understandable with recent results.

"In the second half the pressing was much better, the passing much crisper, they were getting at Stoke and the urgency was much better. They got their rewards through a brave goal, Glen Johnson has been criticised quite heavily and I'm pleased for him. Overall they deserved it."

  265. 'Worst position being a keeper'

    Former Liverpool midfielder Paul Ince

    Match of the Day pundit

"Simon Mignolet has had a rough ride. It's the worst position for me in the world being a goalkeeper. He'll be pleased he's played so well and he'll think he is getting back to where he should be."

  266. Rodgers 'unaware' of Gerrard landmark

    Steven Gerrard

An oversight or a poor error? Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he was unaware of the 16th anniversary of captain Steven Gerrard's debut when he left him out against Stoke. It was the first time Gerrard had not started a league match since New Year's Day, when he was injured.

"I wasn't aware it was 16 years until I walked into the dressing room and saw the programme," Rodgers added after his side beat the Potters 1-0. "I felt quite bad but he's a wonderful man. He thinks about the team."

  267. Gerrard rested

    Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy

    Match of the Day pundit

"I was at Liverpool when Steven made his debut and I can't believe it has been 16 years. But he's got to accept that now [not playing every game]. It might benefit him actually as we've seen with Frank Lampard."

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Paul Ince added on MOTD: "You want to keep on playing so when you feel fit and you're not playing it kills you, Steven Gerrard wants to play every game, he doesn't want to sit on the bench."

  268. Gerrard to leave Liverpool?

    Mail on Sunday back page

Time to get stuck into Sunday's back pages. Is Steven Gerrard leaving Liverpool? The Reds captain was dropped to the substitutes bench for Saturday's 1-0 win over Stoke City, the 16th anniversary of his senior debut.

The Mail on Sunday leads with mounting concern for 34-year-old Gerrard, who is out of contract in the summer. Discussions about a new deal, according to the paper, have stalled.
