His side have booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League for the 17th successive season. But it appears some Arsenal fans are still keen for Arsene Wenger to call time on his 18 year reign at the club.

The Sunday Express reports disgruntled fans unfurled a banner during Saturday's 1-0 win at West Brom stating 'Arsene - thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye'.

The Gunners are 13 points behind leaders Chelsea despite victory at The Hawthorns.

  4. 'Strange game for Liverpool'published at 11:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2014

"Stoke played well, especially in the first half, they kept the ball well. They lost Steve Sidwell which didn't help, losing his bite.

"For Liverpool it was a strange game, they started quite lacklustre, there was a lack of energy and they were too deep. They did play in Europe midweek but they were slow. They didn't have Steven Gerrard dropping deep to get the ball. They were edgy which is understandable with recent results.

"In the second half the pressing was much better, the passing much crisper, they were getting at Stoke and the urgency was much better. They got their rewards through a brave goal, Glen Johnson has been criticised quite heavily and I'm pleased for him. Overall they deserved it."

  5. 'Worst position being a keeper'published at 11:31 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2014

"Simon Mignolet has had a rough ride. It's the worst position for me in the world being a goalkeeper. He'll be pleased he's played so well and he'll think he is getting back to where he should be."

  6. Rodgers 'unaware' of Gerrard landmarkpublished at 11:30 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2014

An oversight or a poor error? Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he was unaware of the 16th anniversary of captain Steven Gerrard's debut when he left him out against Stoke. It was the first time Gerrard had not started a league match since New Year's Day, when he was injured.

"I wasn't aware it was 16 years until I walked into the dressing room and saw the programme," Rodgers added after his side beat the Potters 1-0. "I felt quite bad but he's a wonderful man. He thinks about the team."

"I was at Liverpool when Steven made his debut and I can't believe it has been 16 years. But he's got to accept that now [not playing every game]. It might benefit him actually as we've seen with Frank Lampard."

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Paul Ince added on MOTD: "You want to keep on playing so when you feel fit and you're not playing it kills you, Steven Gerrard wants to play every game, he doesn't want to sit on the bench."

Time to get stuck into Sunday's back pages. Is Steven Gerrard leaving Liverpool? The Reds captain was dropped to the substitutes bench for Saturday's 1-0 win over Stoke City, the 16th anniversary of his senior debut.

The Mail on Sunday leads with mounting concern for 34-year-old Gerrard, who is out of contract in the summer. Discussions about a new deal, according to the paper, have stalled.

It's Sunday. A day when thousands of amateur footballers take to the field and do their best impressions of Sergio Aguero, Jack Wilshere and David De Gea.

One thing is certain. The dressing rooms at Southampton and Tottenham will be five star luxury compared to the wooden sheds many Sunday League players all over the UK will use.

A goal feast it was not. Fifteen goals in eight Premier League games, it seems, was enough to send some into the land of nod.
