"Wimbledon still pressing and Liverpool still looking shaky at the back.

"Like Manchester United at Yeovil yesterday, Liverpool need to find a piece of Premier League class from somewhere that will stop their League Two opponents in their tracks."

  9. Penalty appealpublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2015

A penalty appeal for Liverpool as a cross hits Barry Fuller's arm inside the penalty area, with Steven Gerrard waiting. The defender wasn't looking at the ball and it would have been very, very harsh.

Match of the Day's Danny Murphy agrees. "He completely lost his bearings, I don't think that's a penalty. Although some referees would give it."

"Liverpool keep getting forced back. This surface isn't great, it's a bit bobbly. They're reluctant to go to the front man. They're not playing with confidence - they seem wary."

Steven Gerrard goes down in the box... penalty? No. Just a little tangle and the midfielder gets to his feet without appealing for a spot-kick. At the other end, Sean Rigg drives into the box but his angled shot flies over the bar.

Tottenham are very much in the ascendancy now. Paulinho fires a shot from the edge of the box but it is blocked by the legs of a Burnley defender. Spurs have really upped their game since the break and Burnley are struggling to match them.

Half-time in Scotland - Kilmarnock 0-1 Celtic. Celtic made the breakthrough after 36 minutes at Rugby Park, having previously hit the woodwork twice through Kris Commons. The Honduran full-back Emilio Izaguirre surged in to the Kilmarnock box and got on the end of a pass by Stefan Johansen and lashed past Craig Samson in the home goal. Killie need to be much more ambitious if they are to get anything from this match.
