Even closer for Everton. Romelu Lukaku dinks a pass behind West Ham's defence but, from a tight angle, Steven Naisith can only send a half volley across the face of goal.

"West Ham are making it extremely uncomfortable for Everton. Stewart Downing has been instrumental in all of West Ham's play.
"Matt Jarvis made a really good diagonal run from left to right and got across Sylvain Distin. But he couldn't get enough contact on the ball."
Everton on the ropes at Goodison Park. Carl Jenkinson's right-wing cross is flicked towards goal by Matt Jarvis, but it is easy for Joel Robles. The hosts look like a side short on confidence.

The travelling West Ham fans launch into a rendition of 'I'm forever blowing bubbles' as the game struggles to come to life. Most of the play in the middle third in the first six minutes.
Tom in Shrewsbury: Good to see John Stones back on the bench for Everton, hopefully he will be able to shore up a worryingly leaky defence. Toffees need a win tonight to get the confidence levels back up.
It doesn't look a bad crowd at Goodison Park. There are a few empty seats as expected, but not too many.
