On Luis Suarez: "He's a very clever player. He'll float around between defenders and try to catch them out. He drags players around. Messi and Neymar are fantastic talents and to keep that front three is a task for any team."

  7. Memories are made of thispublished at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

It would probably be fair to say Manchester City fans have not exactly had a love affair with the Champions League over the past few seasons.

But, as City midfielder Samir Nasri points out, a victory this evening would go some way to putting the competition closer to their hearts.

It is a 45,000 sell-out this evening, with just over 1000 Barcelona fans making the trip. This is where memories are made. City will hope they are good ones.

Spain-based football writer Graham Hunter on Luis Suarez: "Suarez has played exceptionally. He's had to change and play unselfishly. Some players find that hard but Suarez hasn't.

"He's been true to his word that he wanted to play for the team. He has given life to Neymar and Messi. The litmus test will, of course, will be if he scores winning goals."

Andrew: If Manchester City are going to win this tie to progress to the Champions League quarter-finals you'd have to think that they are going to have to take a lead with them to the Nou Camp. Keeping a clean sheet tonight would be advisable too, if at all possible!

Grant: Strange of Pellegrini to leave out Lampard, with all his experience at this level.

  13. Goals galorepublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Manchester City may have struggled in their fledgling Champions League experiences but they have always been capable of goals at home.

In fact, Barcelona are the only away team to keep a clean sheet at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League. City will be desperate to make sure that doesn't become a habit.

Having said all that, City have kept only one clean sheet in 13 Champions League home games.

    There will be goals.

The left foot is instantly controlling passes fired at all angles from his Barcelona team-mates while pass after pass lands straight at the feet of its intended target. Always a privilege to watch one of the greatest to have played the game at close quarters."

"Those who haven't packed a warm scarf might end up visiting street trader Colin Downes, who is perched on Market Street - the city's main shopping avenue.
