A few more of your views on Manchester City's signing of Wilfried Bony from Swansea:

Sam Robson: Individually Bony may well be better than Dzeko, but Dzeko and Aguero are a proven partnership, while Bony is a lone striker.

Liam Price: If Falcao is worth £43.5m then Bony surely is worth £30m in today's market?

Mehul Mandalia: Bony not worth £30m? Welbeck and Balotelli were both £16m. Both have barely had an impact while Bony was banging them in.

Striker Matt Harrold got his first-ever man-of-the-match award for Crawley as the League One side drew 2-2 with MK Dons on Saturday.

Nothing unusual about that, except Harrold played over 50 minutes in goal.

Harrold said: "I got pressured into it because everyone just looked at me and said 'you're big'."

    Great reasoning.

Liverpool's challenge for a top-four spot continued to gather pace as they claimed a third win in four league games by beating 10-man Sunderland on Saturday, Lazar Markovic poking in a shot to put the visitors in front.

Brendan Rodgers was all smiles after the game but Gus Poyet was quite the opposite, with the Sunderland boss angry at referee Craig Pawson.

The Black Cats had midfielder Liam Bridcutt sent off for picking up two yellow cards and Poyet said in the Daily Mail:, external "The foul (by Bridcutt) stopped an attack and if I'm being honest it could have been a yellow card. But by the same rule Coutinho should also have had two yellow cards.

"You cannot pick and choose - you either referee by the rules or by common sense, and I think the referee picked when he was going to referee by the rules and when by common sense, and that is not acceptable."

A few of your reactions on Twitter to Manchester City agreeing a £30m fee for Swansea striker Wilfried Bony:

Joe Creaser: £30m for Bony is ridiculous, anyone getting flashbacks of Adebayor?

Andy Partington: Delighted with #MCFC signing Bony. Don't get people saying he'll be fourth choice. Think he'll make a great partner for Aguero.

Jack Sanders: Great for Swansea as Bony not worth £30m. It won't really affect Chelsea though as he won't start ahead of Edin Dzeko will he?

  7. Bony worth £30m?published at 11:53 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

What do Premier League players do on the evening after a game, especially when they've scored? Go out for a meal with their partner, maybe? Or a night in watching themselves score on Match of the Day?

Stoke striker Peter Crouch celebrated his goal against today's opponents Arsenal earlier in the season by going to a Kasabian gig and crowd-surfing into the arms of a startled bouncer.

"I'd been watching from the side quite reserved, but I ended up getting a bit carried away," says Crouch. "A couple of fellas have lifted me up onto their shoulders, and then it's a case of enjoy it or try to get down. And I decided to enjoy it."

"Like all fans and our manager, there are many things I have the hump with after today. Care to know them all?" he asked before listing his gripes.

QPR's dismal away form continued as they lost 2-1 to relegation rivals Burnley, who made it 10 defeats in 10 away games this season for Harry Redknapp's side - a new Premier League record.

All three goals came before half-time, with Charlie Austin's penalty cancelling out Scott Arfield's fine solo goal for the hosts, before Danny Ings grabbed the winner with a neat finish.

Fernandinho's scrambled goal with 16 minutes left looked to have condemned Roberto Martinez's side to their fifth successive league defeat. Everton, however, equalised when Steven Naismith's glancing header put them level within four minutes of City's opener.

So Christmas has been and gone. The decorations have been taken down, the tree has been packed away for another year (if they haven't yet, what are you playing at?) and the well intended, if ultimately futile, attempts for a healthy January are well under way.

But on the football pitches and in the stands at grounds up and down the country, evidence of the recent festivities should be clear to see - new football gear.

For Sunday League regulars and season ticket holders, surely a brand-spanking new kit, the latest boots or the humble football will have been high on Santa's list?

If so, we'd love to see the new football gear you got on Christmas Day. Was it what you were hoping for? If not, what did you want and what did you actually get? Were you one of the lucky recipients of a gift from Louis van Gaal in the picture above? Send your photos and tell us about it via #bbcfootball, external

Lloyd Hamilton:, external As a Chelsea fan, not too worried about Bony move. More annoyed that City always planned to keep Lamps all season!

Sam Robson:, external £30m is far too much for essentially a 3rd/4th choice striker. Surely when fit Aguero and Dzeko would start ahead of Bony?

Neil Boughton:, external Not a bad signing for City but I'm not worried. Looks a bit desperate if you ask me, is Bony really worth £30m?
