Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho did not face the media after Saturday's 2-0 win against Newcastle

Speaking of Chelsea, after a little festive wobble the Blues regained sole grip of first place in the Premier League by beating Newcastle 2-0 on Saturday.

Chelsea were below par, but goals from Oscar and Diego Costa were enough to secure the three points and move them two clear of Manchester City.

Was Jose Mourinho happy? We've no idea as he skipped the post-match news conference, with his assistant Steve Holland facing the press instead.

  6. What's coming up?published at 10:35 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

    Hello!

Saturday may well have been lacking in a few Premier League twists and turns but today's offering from the top flight certainly has the potential to provide us with one or two.

After a pretty inconsistent first half of the season, Arsenal will be hoping for better in 2015 and they host Stoke at 13:30 GMT looking for their first league win of the year. Easier said than done against a Potters side that has proven to be a bit of a thorn in Arsenal's side over the years.

Then, to finish things off, it is third versus fourth as Manchester United host Southampton at 16:00 GMT - the potential for a very tasty fixture indeed.
