Fred Onyedinma has scored his third goal in three successive games to equalise for League Two leaders Wycombe at Bury. As it stands, Wanderers could open a gap at the top with a 1-1 draw with both Burton and Newport County losing.

Shrewsbury Town could be the day's big winners with Andy Mangan scoring his second goal of the game to give the Shrews a 3-0 lead over Hartlepool to potentially move back into the top three.

The snow is still coming down at Turf Moor as both sides push for a winner. As results stand both sides are two points ahead of the drop zone.

"Chelsea just walk it in for 5-0. Great play again from Eden Hazard, and Andre Schurrle just gets in ahead of Oscar, who was on a hat-trick, to turn in the cut-back. But unbelievable football, they make it look so easy. They are playing with so much confidence."

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Hugo Lloris earns his money for the day with a superb double save. The Tottenham keeper first parries Adam Johnson's strike and quickly composes himself to block Danny Graham's drive from close range.

"This victory, and it almost certainly will be a victory, will put Liverpool on 25 points, just behind Arsenal. Brendan Rodgers' side could push on from here - the Reds are back in the mix whereas before people had written them off. They could certainly finish in the top six, but maybe top four?"

"Outstanding finish from Rickie Lambert! Drilled into the bottom corner, but Villa punished for trying to play the ball out from the corner."

  8. CLOSE!published at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Burnley have brightened up at a snow-swept Turf Moor and they come close to grabbing a third. Kieran Trippier's free-kick is headed back across goal by Jason Shackell and fellow centre-back Michael Keane beats Julian Speroni with his volley - luckily for Palace James McArthur is on the line to clear the ball away.

"Whatever Louis van Gaal said to Falcao in midweek, it's had an effect. He hasn't scored but it's not for want of trying. He's led the line fabulously this afternoon."

Goal number five for Chelsea as Branislav Ivanovic gets free down the right and sends the ball into the dangerzone. Oscar looks certain to tap in for his third but Andre Schurrle steals in and pokes home. Oscar is not too happy, but Chelsea fans are.

It looks bad for Villa as Liverpool substitute Rickie Lambert rifles a low angled shot into the corner from the edge of the penalty area. Seven games without a win for Villa?

There will be no dream start to his Sunderland career for Jermain Defoe. The man who has scored on his debut for five previous clubs goes off after a pretty quiet game. Danny Graham jogs on to the pitch in his place.

  14. CLOSE!published at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

James Wilson flashes the ball across the face of goal but, just as Radamel Falcao looks certain to tap home, Steven Caulker touches the ball away to save a certain goal. A carbon copy move seconds later as QPR hang on.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Diego Costa clearly wants a hat-trick. He is not going to get it as Jose Mourinho decides to save his striker's legs for another day. Costa walks off, face like thunder. He wants the match ball. Loic Remy replace him, while Cesc Fabregas goes off for Ramires.

What a chance. A defensive error from United lets Eduardo Vargas race through on goal. With Charlie Austin in acres of space, Vargas dallies before attempting to pull back to Bobby Zamora and the chance is gone. Austin is understandably furious. Poor from United though.

    Former Wales striker John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live at Liberty Stadium

"This game is done and dusted. It is 4-0 to Chelsea - so far. The scoreline may change but certainly not the result. Chelsea are just playing keep ball, it is like a five-a-side game at times. I said earlier I didn't think Swansea have had any shots on target. They actually did, but it was after 10 minutes. Since then they have not tested Chelsea's goal at all."

New Charlton manager Guy Luzon was unable to take charge of today's game against Watford due to work permit delays but he won't like what he has seen at Vicarage Road as Odion Ighalo has bagged a brace to put his side 4-0 down.

Meanwhile, Callum Wilson has given league leaders Bournemouth a 2-0 lead against Rotherham and they look set to maintain a one point advantage over an Ipswich side that lead 2-1 at Millwall to move into second place.

Cardiff have got two goals back - through Alex Revell and Kadeem Harris - and could yet ruin new Norwich manager Alex Neil's home debut as it is now 3-2 at Carrow Road.
