  1. Goodnightpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

That was another good, honest, solid day of football but despite its ferocity, that last bruising encounter could not topple Tunisia v Cape Verde as the dirtiest game of the tournament. A sum of 48 fouls in that one is still top of the pops.

So you've seen every team play...what do you think? I tell you what, why not cast judgement after two rounds of this superb show. The second round of group games starts tomorrow and we will be here from 15:30 GMT again.

Keep your eyes peeled on our African football index because a feature on the best players so far will include some of your tweets. That will be published shortly.

    Goodnight. Thanks for being here.

Cameroon had just two shots on target in that game but leave with a point and 12 of the 16 teams at Afcon 2015 have opened the tournament by scoring one goal.

These sides are back in action on 24 January. Ivory Coast take on Mali, Cameroon face Guinea.

A reminder that in a short while, we will publish a piece on the best players seen in the first round of group stage games and some of your tweets and suggestions will form part of it. Send us your views to #bbcafcon2015.

Tipz;, external Algeria's Brahimi has some magic feet, my best player so far.

Reagan Mitchel:, external Sibusiso Vilakazi for South Africa.

Mamadi Sirleaf:, external DRC Yannick Bolasie have been unplayable. His pace and strength have been so much exceptional.

Koech Chepkole:, external Has to be Aubameyang; he was outstanding and that celebration was superb! serious contender for African player of the year 2015.

  5. FULL-TIMEpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

This is getting familiar. A fifth 1-1 draw of the tournament in just eight outings. Like those games before, so little between the teams.

Mali deservedly led and will rue not defending Raoul Loe's superb long ball which created the leveller. All square in Group D.

Africa Cup of Nations Group D

A reminder, if teams are level on points at the end of the group stages, their head-to-head record will be used to split them.

  6. CLOSE!published at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

Another massive offside call as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is brought down in a Cameroon attack. He is in the area and clattered by the on rushing goalkeeper but the flag is again rightly raised. Good decisions at both ends.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

Seydou Keita - a man of experience - stands over the dead ball. It is 25 yards out, left of centre...shoots...palmed away...rebound...goal.

Yellow celebrations everywhere but no, the flag is up. It is the right call but my word is that close. Cameroon's goalkeeper can thank his lucky stars.

  9. Postpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

These do look like two decent sides capable of moving on in this tournament. We have a minute to go, any hero out there?

Managers are pointing and Mali will make another change, maybe they are happy with a point? Free-kick given to the Eagles though and it is in shooting range.

Jeremiah Kariuki:, external Super ball control and calmness in striking it into the net. Good goal by Oyongo, for the equalizer.

  11. Postpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

This would be the fifth 1-1 draw in eight matches in the tournament. When did this unpredictable tournament become so predictable?

  12. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

BBC Sport's Ed Harry in Malabo: NOISE. Most of the fans inside this stadium are here supporting Cameroon. Equatorial Guinea's neighbours were invited to come to this tournament, leaving their passports at the border for collection on the way home. Not sure how many have travelled, or who are the ex-pats, but they are LOUD.

  13. GOALpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

Leveller and beautifully taken. Ambroise Oyongo gets his first internatonal goal and never has there been a better time but what a ball by Raoul Loe.

He collects on the centre circle and pings a straight ball over the heart of the defence - think Rory McIlroy punching one into the green - which drops 10 yards from goal onto Oyongo's foot. He is already bursting towards goal from deep and his touch and momentum take him closer to convert from six yards.

  14. Postpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

Mali fans are dancing in the stands, a bit premature maybe but their side deserve this lead. The have created the better chances. Now it is a case of grafting for every yard, covering every blade of grass and they have already shown they are not afraid of hard work.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

BBC Sport's Ed Harry in Malabo: Franck Etoundi, who has just come on for Cameroon, is captain Stephane Mbia's brother and scored on his debut in a drawn warm-up game against DR Congo. Plays for FC Zurich.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

Cameroon, what are you all about?

Unbeaten in nine games since the World Cup you need something now. Vincent Aboubakar has some space and it's three v two but he can't find the pass. Off comes Franck Kom, on is Franck Etoundi - brother of Stephane Mbia.

  18. Postpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

BBC Sport's Ed Harry in Malabo: Ha! What was I just saying? We've had at least one lengthy stoppage, Cameroon have at least 20 minutes to turn this around. Mali have reached the semi finals on their last two appearances at the Cup of Nations, losing to runners-up Ivory Coast in 2012 and eventual champions Nigeria a year later.

No it will not be Ed. Our 100% record of goals in games continues.

One of the many fouls in this second half prompts a free-kick delivery and Sambou Yatabare drops to the back post. The ball whistles through bodies and finds him...chest...volley...goal.

Just a second international goal for the Guingamp midfielder.
