    Ibrahima Traore

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Ibrahima Traore says the players were tested for Ebola in the dressing room, just before a vital match against Togo.

"We felt disrespected in other countries. To us it was like some people were seeing us Guineans not as human beings but as a disease," Traore told BBC Sport.

"We got a $30,000 (£19,700) bonus for qualifying and I gave that money directly to charities fighting the disease. At the Africa Cup of Nations we want to fight for the people who are struggling due to Ebola."

If any team at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations understand the perils of the Ebola Virus epidemic which prompted this tournament to be re-located from Morocco, it is Guinea.

Nearly 2,000 people have died from the disease in the country and during qualifying, the national team played every match away from home.

Head coach Michel Dussuyer said: "It has made us stronger. We really wanted to qualify for the Guinean people, to give some happiness for them because it is a very difficult moment in the country and we wanted to fight for them. It was not easy when people talked about Ebola - we were not well received when we played away."

  3. Welcome to Afcon day four...published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2015

We are averaging 2.5 goals a game at Afcon 2015 so far and a plethora of talent will take to the field on day four, so expect that to ramp up.

First it's Ivory Coast against Guinea - a side with an eye-opening back story (coming next) - then Cameroon take on Mali. If Cameroon players score and don't dance, I'll eat the desk I'm sitting at.

Our kick-off times are 16:00 GMT and 19:00 GMT, so go get your African Cous Cous on to simmer as we build-up...

A tournament which was meant to be in Morocco, but is actually in Equatorial Guinea. But don't confuse them with Guinea, who play today.

In Africa we may well be, but 43 of the 46 players set to be involved in our opening game play in Europe. One of our teams today has recently been tested for a deadly virus in their own changing room.

A face we all know has trophies aplenty, but nothing to show for international exploits...

    Yaya Toure

Welcome to the turbulent world of Afcon. Yaya and the gang start the tournament as favourites but be warned, nothing is quite as it seems here...
