  • Congo & Equatorial Guinea go through

  1. Postpublished at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

Equatorial Guinea keeper Felipe Ovono is OK to continue and takes a catch to prove the point. Although he's in no rush to get up and distribute it. Prepare for 30 minutes of slowly taken set-pieces.

Replays show Javier Balboa might have dived to win that penalty...

Considering the fact Equatorial Guinea were already kicked out of the qualifiers for fielding an ineligible player before their reprieve after offering to host it, Gabon won't be too happy...

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

Thievy Bifouma is now the top scorer in this competition with two goals. Burkina, who haven't managed one between them, make a double change: Prejuce Nakoulma and Issa Gouo make way for forwards Bertrand Traore and Aristide Bance

  5. Postpublished at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

Gabon's Charlton man Frederic Bulot has a chance to level but somehow gets his angles all wrong from eight yards out and misses the target by a lot. Equatorial Guinea keeper Felipe Ovono has somehow injured himself in the process.

The stadium in Bata absolutely erupted when that goal went in, I should say. Unbelievable scenes.

So Burkina Faso and Gabon, the favourites to qualify from this group before a ball was kicked, are now staring down the barrel.

Javier Balboa steps up and puts the ball beyond the reach of Didier Ovono and sends his country into the lead.

As things stand the hosts go through to the quarter-finals and Gabon are out.

  9. PENALTY TO EQUATORIAL GUINEApublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

A huge moment as Lloyd Palun brings down Javier Balboa in the box.

  10. Postpublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

Equatorial Guinea keeper Felipe Ovono is keeping his country in this game - and the tournament. He tips another free-kick over the bar, this time from Frederic Bulot.

The resulting corner comes in... and it's claimed by the 21-year-old Deportivo Mongomo man.

It's been coming. Burkina Faso try to play a high line, Ferebory Dore is sprung down the right into acres of space and he puts it on a plate for former West Brom man Thievy Bifouma to bundle home from two yards. The replay shows Dore was offside - but then again, Congo have deserved a bit of luck for their more enterprising play.

That means that Congo are currently going through as group winners. Burkina Faso, who have been dreadfully uninspired so far, need to score twice now.

  12. Postpublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

And would you believe it, Ferebory Dore has spurned an even better chance! He leads a quick break upfield, spreads the ball wide to Thievy Bifouma and gets himself on the end of the return ball three yards out. All he needs to do is sidefoot the ball home but he misses it completely.

  13. CLOSE!published at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

And from the corner kick Congo should score. The delivery locates the head of Ferebory Dore, unmarked eight yards out, but the striker sends a twisting header just past the post.

Less than 90 seconds into the second half and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fires in a free-kick which Equatorial Guinea keeper Felipe Ovono tips over.

    Bright start for Gabon.

"My BBC colleague Andy Brown has just popped outside with his camera to see if there was any action to film at the gates - but luckily this time all is quiet and no repeat of the angry scenes from four days ago."

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

We're up and running again in Ebebiyin. Burkina Faso, finalists at the last Cup of Nations, are 45 minutes away from making an early exit. Can they save themselves?

  19. Postpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

BBC Sport's Matthew Kenyon in Ebebiyin

"I'm grateful the Burkinabe fans rested the drums for half time. A moment's peace. But as the teams come out - the big bass returns. They need their boys to get on the scoresheet... or it's home time."

"The Equatoguinean fans in front of me have unfurled a huge national flag to help lift their team further after the break - the Gabonese fans do have a big flag too - not as big - but it's hidden away at the moment..."
