Better spell for Atletico as they look to pick holes in a tiring Barca defence....

  2. FINAL FIFTEENpublished at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

The clock is ticking down for Atletico. But the visitors almost create a chance on the counter attack. Mario Mandzukic finds space on the right, pinging a quick ball towards Fernando Torres. But Barca keeper Claudio Bravo is alert to race off his line and gather. The 2009 version of Torres would have snaffled that opportunity.

Of course, who can forget Fernando Torres' wonderfully-taken goal which put Chelsea into the Champions League final? Or Gary Neville's far-too-excitable commentary?

But the Atletico striker has not had sight of that same Nou Camp goal yet. Quiet introduction for the Spain international. Only takes a second to score a goal though...

Julian Croker:, external We remember the last time Torres played in the Nou Camp. Came on as sub with his team 2-1 down .. dramatic late equaliser due?

"The athleticism and energy of Ivan Rakitic have played an important part in Barca's ability to maintain such pressure on Atletico, and you wonder if this will be the game which makes Enrique finally decide to make the Croatian a cornerstone of his midfield at the expense of Xavi, who has been a magnificent player but just can't compete physically any longer and often finds himself overrun."

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

What time is it? Torres time.

'El Nino' is not an Atletico kid anymore, more of an elder statesman, as the 30-year-old jogs on for his second La Liga debut for his boyhood heroes.

Can he cause an almighty upset by clawing back an equaliser?

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

Fleet-footed Neymar jinks into the centre of the Atletico half, skipping past two challenges, as Barca threaten again. But the Brazil poster boy is hauled back, rather cynically, by Tiago. The Portuguese midfielder becomes the latest name to be jotted down in the referee's notepad. the official has got quite a collection now.

Atletico have an extra spring in their step after that goal. Right-back Juanfran - perhaps lucky not to see a second booking after clattering into Neymar again moments ago - pounds forward. But his cute delivery fails to find a fellow white shirt as Barca clear from their six-yard box.

Andy Bennett:, external Deary me, what an appalling decision! Gamez wasn't affected by the tap, but folded his legs up.

Blueforever:, external Well you don't see Messi giving a penalty away everyday...

"Atletico have been aggrieved with the decisions they've received from referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco tonight, but they certainly benefitted from one there. Messi appeared to win the ball and there was a gasp of astonishment around the stadium when the penalty was awarded. But congratulations to Mario Mandzukic for managing to strike the ball cleanly amid the ear-splitting whistles which greeted his run-up."

Television replays still don't provide much clarity on the penalty decision. Although with Atletico feeling Lionel Messi handled in the build up to Barca's second goal then perhaps justice has been served. Wonder what our man in Barcelona reckons....

  14. PENALTY TO ATLETICOpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

Hope for Atletico? They win a penalty after Lionel Messi (yes, really) trips Atletico defender Jesus Gamez in the Barca box.

  15. Postpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

Atletico don't mind playing some rough tactics - and here a couple more examples of their steelier side. Moments after right-back Juanfran goes into the book for a crude tackle on Neymar, Turkey midfielder Arda Turan escapes punishment for dumping Andres Iniesta on his backside.

  16. Postpublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

'Messi, Messi, Messi' rings out around the Nou Camp, telling you everything you need to know about the star of this show. The Barca hero wriggles clear close to the byeline on the right, but is hauled back by the referee for an indiscretion.

The Barca defence clear the set-piece - straight out for another. Atletico win a left-wing corner which centre-back Diego Godin - a menace for defenders in the opposing penalty area - climbs highest to meet. But his header flies narrowly over the Barca bar.

Quiet start to the second half - Luis Enrique looks relaxed as he kicks back in his padded dug-out seat.

Then, Atletico win a free-kick as striker Mario Mandzukic is clattered by Barca defender Javier Mascherano.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015
