Clearly Lionel Messi, who trudges into the Camp Nou with his washbag tucked under his arm, will be the centre of attention tonight. He usually is. But let's not forget that there are plenty of other men capable of nicking the headlines later.

In the Blaugrana corner....we also have Luis Suarez! Neymar! Andres Iniesta! Luis Enrique!

And in the Rojiblancos corner....there is Fernando Torres! Mario Mandzukic! Diego Godin! Diego Simeone!

This match has more heavyweight names than the cast list of The Expendables. Well, almost.

How do you beat Barcelona? Just ask David Moyes.

Moyes led Real Sociedad to a 1-0 win against the Catalans last weekend as they continued their revival under the former Manchester United manager.

La Real have lost just one of their six La Liga matches since his arrival - and tonight they're winning again. Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela confidently tucked in a penalty to hand them a 1-0 half-time lead at Granada.

Atletico starting XI: Moya; Gamez, Gimenez, Godin, Juanfran; Gabi, Tiago, Koke, Arda Turan; Griezmann, Mandzukic.

  5. Top-of-the-table clashpublished at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2015

Hola amigos! Not for the first time, the eyes of the watching world are placed intently on the diminutive figure of Lionel Messi tonight.

The four-time world player of the year starts for Barca as they host defending champions Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou.

Away from the inevitable Messi chat, don't forget this is a HUGE match in the Spanish title race. Barca are second, Atletico third. Both are four points adrift of leaders Real Madrid. Neither can afford to drop points...

Of course, nobody really knows what happens behind closed doors in a relationship - except for the two parties involved.

Rumours have swirled around the footballing world in the past week that Lionel Messi and Barcelona's 12-year tryst could be drawing to an end.

Since meeting when the Argentine superstar was still a teenager, the pair have enjoyed countless dates over the years. But the arrival of coach Luis Enrique seems to have given Messi the hump.

Barca insist the 27-year-old won't turn his back on them. But potential suitors Chelsea are, apparently, waiting in the wings to make a move on their man.

Relationships are never easy. Even when you seem perfectly suited to your long-term partner, one big bust-up behind closed doors can lead to irreparable damage.

You start questioning your future. Am I really suited to my other half? Could somebody else make me happier? Do I even love them anymore?

You might begin shamelessly flirting with a rich, English acquaintance, and start following them on social media. They won't leave you feeling Blue, will they?

Or that may just be all bluster. Because really you don't want to walk away. Your problems only began when that new face started working at your place in the summer. But if they get sacked everything will be rosy again. Won't it?
