"Villa are a wonderful club, a really big club not just in Birmingham but in English football. Paul Lambert has recognised that he has to keep clean sheets, so they are defending a bit deeper so maybe the results will pick up for them."

"I think he's the right man for the situation, because Tony Pulis sets his teams up so well. Mind you, I think he'll be pressing the chairman for three new players by 1 February."

OK, before the second half gets under way here's a few comments from our pundits on the FA Cup games we have coming up at 15:00 GMT.

  4. Postpublished at 13:45 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

    Former Wales international John Hartson
BBC Two Wales at Ewood Park

"Two fantastic goals. We've seen Gylfi Sigurdsson do that so many times before, but really it was a nightmare start for Swansea. For the sending off, Kyle Bartley's arm does come across but then again Josh King does give him a barge back. Swansea went in front but let Blackburn back in and it has pretty much been even stevens since then."

Now I am not a big fan of the massive beard hipster look that seems to be in no danger of going out of style, but Iwan Roberts' facial hair on BBC Two Wales and in the online coverage at the top of this page is something to marvel at. Outstanding.

  6. Postpublished at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at Ewood Park

"Blackburn will feel they can win the game in the second half. They look a quality side going forward, and so far they have been able to control the threat of Bafetimibi Gomis up front for Swansea. It might not be a great game but it probably hasn't been helped by the sending off."

Matthew, Swansea: Not sure why everyone is saying how we are missing Bony. He would have missed this game anyway due to AFCON. Ki Sung-yueng is our biggest loss anyway. Best player this year by a country mile.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Jonjo Shelvey kicks for touch, smacking the ball high into the stands, and that is the last action of a pretty hectic first half.

  9. Postpublished at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Three minutes of added time is announced over the loudspeaker, and Swansea boss Garry Monk will probably be happy to go in level at the break.

  10. Postpublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Swansea are doing themselves no favours at all by not only gifting the ball to Blackburn in their own area, but wrapping it up in a little bow as well. There are too many lapses of concentration and on one such occasion David Dunn capitalises, picking up the ball and passing to Josh King on the right, but he can't use his pace this time and Swansea survive.

  11. Postpublished at 13:30 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at Ewood Park

"Josh King's pace is a real threat for Blackburn. As a defender, if you have pace against you at no point can you relax. King is constantly pressuring the Swansea centre-backs. When you know he is going to bundle into you, you cannot make any mistakes at all. At the other end, all Simon Eastwood has had to do in the Blackburn goal so far is pick the ball out of his own net."

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:30 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Lee Williamson looks to have taken a whack to the eye and Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer is taking no risks, he makes a change, taking off the midfielder and the 35-year-old legs of David Dunn creak into action.

  13. Postpublished at 13:28 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Bafetimbi Gomis stumbles and falls when in possession and Craig Conway picks up the loose and scampers goalwards. Excitement clouds his judgement though and he swirls a shot high, wide and most definitely not mighty.

  14. Postpublished at 13:26 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Bafetimbi Gomis is struggling to get into this game. He is playing the hold up role with his back to goal but is failing to make the ball stick up front on the rare occasion the visitors attack. A case in point is when Modou Barrow brings a pass under control on the right, squares a pass between two defenders for Gomis, but his second touch is terrible and the opportunity disappears.

  15. Postpublished at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at Ewood Park

"Joshua King is looking really lively, really sharp up front for Blackburn. Every time he gets the ball he wants to turn and shoot."

Patrick Awards:, external You better bag this one, Rovers, because this 10 man deal for 90 mins is just a steal!

  17. Postpublished at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Jonjo Shelvey is looking a little indecisive in this game and he dithers on the edge of this own area, letting a pass run across him and Josh King steals in. He is tackled but the ball runs through to Tom Cairney, who skips into the area but Jordi Amat gets across to snuff out the opportunity.

Well Max, when you've got to go, you've got to go...

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Lee Williamson is going into challenges heavier than most and the referee has had enough, waving a yellow in his direction after the midfielder has another nibble at Bafetimbi Gomis.
