Cheers Mandeep! It's cloudy, wet and generally miserable looking at Ewood Park at the moment but we have the FA Cup, and the prospect of a few upsets can brighten any day.

First up, Premier League Swansea arrive at Championship Blackburn still smarting from a hefty 5-0 defeat by Chelsea last-time out. Can Blackburn take advantage?

If you've got a case of FA Cup fever then this is the place to be.

Gary Rose will now be taking over as we look ahead to the early game, as Swansea travel to Blackburn, a match you can watch at the top of this page.. Let's hope for plenty of spills and thrills.

  4. Transfer newspublished at 11:44 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

All this FA Cup talk has almost - I say almost - made me forget about the transfer window being open. Chelsea have been linked to Juan Cuadrado and offloading Andre Schurrle and Mohamed Salah.

But Blues boss Jose Mourinho says: "We don't want to be involved in the transfer window.

"If we have to be it's because somebody pushed us, with some offer for our player. But Chelsea moving and looking for a change? No."

If you need a bit more of a transfer news hit then there's only one place to go and that's the BBC Sport gossip column.

In 2014 Sheffield United set a record for shocks in cup competitions - beating six opponents from higher divisions:

So good is manager Nigel Clough's record that, during his tenure, Sheffield United have played more games - and won more games - in cup competitions than any other team in the country:

  6. 'Something strange in the neighbourhood'published at 11:39 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Something strange has been going on at Sheffield United since Nigel Clough was appointed manager in October 2013. After he took charge of his first cup match the following month, the Blades have been an irresistible force in knockout competitions, while failing to match that form in League One.

It's Saturday morning and that means we are once again teaming up with The Danny Baker Show on BBC Radio 5 live to plumb the depths of your footballing anecdotes. Danny's topic for discussion this week is: 'Accidentally Finding Yourself Behind The Scenes At A Major Event.'

Jamie, Glasgow: In 1981 my old man and his cousins left a christening in Dublin to try to get tickets outside Croke Park for the All-Ireland Gaelic football final (Kerry v Offaly). 90,000 sell-out, no chance. Instead, suited and booted, they saw a black Daimler inching through the crowds outside, manoeuvred into the slipstream and followed it through the gates. Only when it was on the track did they realise they were now members of the Prime Minister's (Garret Fitzgerald) security detail. They watched the game sat between the cardinal and American senator Tip O'Neill.

Nick, Hertford: Having watched the last time-trial stage of the Tour de France last year I went back to the hotel. A short while later I got a knock on the door from someone looking for his room. My mate asked who it was and all I could say was he was in lycra. Later found out it was a previous stage winner, I must pay more attention!

Charlie Smith: Me and a mate were going to Chelsea to watch Arsenal and bumped into Sir Bobby Robson - then England manager - in Redbridge tube car park. Had a chat, sat with him on the journey all the way to Chelsea, and even walked up to the ground with him chatting football, asking him to pick Arsenal players. Seems unbelievable now!

  11. Scary Chelseapublished at 11:23 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

I don't mean to discourage Bradford fans ahead of their game at Chelsea this afternoon but there's a certain stat they might not want to look at beforehand.

Chelsea have won 23 and lost none of their last 27 FA Cup matches at Stamford Bridge in normal play. The only blot on their record was a penalty shootout defeat by Everton in that run.

    John Motson
BBC Match of the Day commentator at Bootham Crescent

    York City v Arsenal

"The referee has given a penalty to York in the last minute - you could not ask for a more dramatic finale. Keith Houchen could put York City in dreamland here. It is all down to John Lukic from the Arsenal perspective.

"And he's done it! The third division side score in the 90th minute! And the fans respond in the obvious manner! Don Howe is disconsolate, the press make their notes, the crowd is in a fervour."

If you're not watching, you're missing out. FA Cup gold.

Premier League leaders Chelsea host League One side Bradford today in the FA Cup fourth round and Blues boss Jose Mourinho has been giving his own inimitable take on the game and whether it would benefit his side to be knocked out.

"The other day, a coach of a big team was knocked out of the cup and he was saying 'good, very good, this is perfect for us, now we can focus on the other competitions'.

    "If I lose against Bradford I don't say that. I say it's a disgrace."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been lauded for his change of tactics last week as he masterminded a win over Premier League champions Manchester City.

His team swapped their attacking style for a more defensive approach but, it appears, the win had more to do with his players than their performance on the pitch.

"At some stage you cannot go against the feelings of the team because it's detrimental to the result," says Wenger, with the Daily Mirror, external putting the story on its back page.

  18. 'Villa embarrassment'published at 10:51 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Talking about Aston Villa's struggles in front of goal, BBC Sport's Robbie Savage has been giving his take on the issue in his regular column.

Top-flight strugglers Villa play Bournemouth in their FA Cup fourth round tie on Sunday and the Midlands side have the worst goals-per-game ratio of any of the 649 teams in the top nine tiers of the English football pyramid.

"You can hardly blame the Villa fans who have already had enough. Their side's lack of goals has long been a worry, but now it is a full-blown embarrassment," says Savage.

"There is a great stat that Bournemouth have scored more goals in one game in Birmingham this season - an 8-0 win over Villa's neighbours Birmingham City at St Andrew's in October - than manager Paul Lambert's side have managed in their 11 home Premier League games this campaign."
