Right, let's move on to Manchester City's exit. The Premier League champions were knocked out of the FA Cup after being beaten 2-0 at home by Championship high-flyers Middlesbrough.

It's the second season running that City have lost to Championship opposition in the competition having gone out to Wigan last year.

  2. Mourinho 'ashamed'published at 10:55 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had said before his side's FA Cup tie against Bradford that it would be a "disgrace" if his team lost.

"Me and the players must feel ashamed," he said after the game.

"I repeat a word I used before this match - It's a disgrace for a big team to lose to a small team from a lower league.

"Frustration is not the right word, embarrassed would be more appropriate."

    Tony Gubba
Match of the Day commentator at Asthon Gate

"Bristol City lead by two goals to nil, both by Robbie Turner, but what a catalogue of mistakes from Chelsea. It's easy for the home side. The Chelsea players are all looking at the linesman on the near side, but it's 2-0, with 56 minutes gone."

Andy Halliday scored one of Bradford's goals in their stunning FA Cup fourth round win at Chelsea. He says Cambridge's 0-0 draw against Manchester United on Friday night helped inspire the Bantams.

"It's the best day of my life so far - that was just ridiculous," says 23-year-old Halliday on the win at Chelsea.

"Not a lot of teams can show the character to come from 2-0 down at Stamford Bridge and I'm sure a lot of people wrote us off at that point."

  7. 'Greatest ever FA Cup shock'published at 10:30 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

Chelsea appeared to be strolling into the fifth round as they went 2-0 up against League One Bradford at home but, in an amazing turn of events, the Bantams made one of the most remarkable comebacks in FA Cup history to win 4-2.

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler called it the biggest FA Cup shock of all time and in a BBC Match of the Day vote 77.2% agreed with him.

"Chelsea are by far the best team in England at the minute. They are 2-0 up at home against little Bradford," says Fowler.

"For me this is the biggest shock."

There are three FA Cup games today, with Bristol City v West Ham (14:00 GMT), Aston Villa v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT) and Brighton v Arsenal (16:00 GMT).

However, I'm afraid they are just going to have to take a backseat for the time being as we reflect on Saturday's events which provided one of the great days in FA Cup history.

  10. FA Cup Rewindpublished at 10:15 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

On BBC Two and at the top of this page right now, it's 2004 and Spurs have gone in to half-time leading 3-0 against 10-man Manchester City.

"If they make a hash of this now, Spurs will only have themselves to blame," says John Motson.

They couldn't blow it, could they?

Did you beat a side from five leagues above - and how did you manage it? Did you win with nine players because a couple of your team were stuck in traffic? Or did you wade through a waterlogged goalmouth to fire in a last-minute winner?

However you have beaten the odds, let us know using #getinspired, external and we'll use the best of them.

  12. FA Cup shockspublished at 10:11 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

If you woke up stunned and still shaking your head in disbelief at yesterday's events, let me just recap the two standout games.

League One Bradford not only beat Premier League leaders Chelsea 4-2, but came back from 2-0 down to win - oh and they did it at Stamford Bridge as well.

The top-flight champions Manchester City were also slain as they lost to Championship side Middlesbrough - at home.

As if there wasn't enough brilliant FA Cup action for you yesterday...

Starting now on BBC Two and via the live coverage tab at the top of this page, you can watch FA Cup Rewind: Fourth-round classics. The programme features the best moments from one of the greatest FA Cup comebacks of all time, when 10-man Manchester City scored four second-half goals to come from behind to beat Tottenham 4-3 in 2004.

You can also take a trip back to 1990 and witness Bristol City's 3-1 win over Chelsea, while also heading even further back in the archives to 1975 for non-league Leatherhead's so-near-but-yet-so-far 3-2 defeat at the hands of Leicester.

    FA Cup gold.

  14. Shining brightpublished at 10:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2015

"Hit between the eyes" is exactly what happened to two of England's biggest sides in Chelsea and Manchester City.

And, when I took some lyrics from current chart number one Uptown Funk yesterday morning to say the 'FA Cup Funk gon' give it to you...Don't believe me just watch', even I didn't expect what was to follow.

It was truly amazing fare in the FA Cup with giant-killings galore on a day when the lesser lights of English football shone brightest of all.
