  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

That is another top, top, top save from Middlesbrough goalkeeper Tomas Mejias. He's not even Boro's first choice but he was outstanding at Manchester City and he's been excellent again. This time Theo Walcott bursts clear to face him one-on-one, Walcott doesn't connect with his strike as he would have liked but it's an excellent save still from the stretching keeper.

  2. Postpublished at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Into the final few minutes. It has been a very routine win for Arsenal as Mesut Ozil has a low shot well saved.

"Olivier Giroud looked disappointed as he desperately wanted to get that hat-trick. Maybe there was another opportunity or two to come with six or seven minutes to go. But it's a much better opportunity to give Chuba Akpom some game time at this level."

Olivier Giroud comes off, here is Chuba Akpom for a run-out. Still looking for his first Gunners goal.

"Arsenal have looked like they have another couple of gears if they need it. If Boro do get a goal back you get a sense that Arsenal will say 'we have had enough of that'."

  6. Postpublished at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Mesut Ozil in space again - Boro can't keep tight to him today - and he cuts one back for Theo Walcott to strike. Good technique to keep the left-footed half-volley down but Kenneth Omeruo makes a bold block.

"You have to remember that Gabriel is not 100% match fit at this level and it will take time. But he has been quite up and down so far. If there have been any problems in the Arsenal defence he has been at the heart of it."

  8. Postpublished at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Arsenal should have won this by more - they've had 20 efforts on goal today. But Arsene Wenger should be very pleased with the display against a good Middlesbrough side who have every chance of reaching the Premier League next season.

There are still 20 minutes to go. This feels like a very long second half. Middlesbrough win a corner but Gabriel makes a towering clearance. The break is on, could be three if they use it right, Olivier Giroud hasn't really got the legs and it ends with Santi Cazorla drilling over from 20 yards.

"If you are going to be brutally honest, Welbeck has not had a great game this afternoon. He likes to be the main man through the middle, but sometimes when Olivier Giroud plays he doesn't have that impact."

Davis Taetiiid:, external Of course Hodgson will start Welbeck, he's recently done the business for England and is coming back from injury.

Mark Taylor:, external A cynical challenge yes (by Gabriel), but good defending all the same. Don't we call it taking one for the team? Worth a yellow I think.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Double change for Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez is off, Tomas Rosicky is on. Theo Walcott then replaces Danny Welbeck.

Arsenal cruising into the last eight.

More great stuff from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, the weight of Ozil's return pass is just brilliant and Sanchez is in - but he is stopped by a cracking slide from Ryan Fredericks.

"He has no right to save that whatsoever. It's behind him and just about in the goal. A world class save from Tomas Mejias. I can't believe he has actually got that and he has just tipped it millimetres past the post."

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

What a save! Arsenal so close to number three but Tomas Mejias pulls off a stunning one-handed stop. Alexis Sanchez helps on Santi Cazorla's inswinging free-kick and Mejias somehow claws it out. The reflexes of a scalded cat.

Patrick Ames: Just remember Boro have done extremely well to get to this game and the difference is that the teams' spending on players is very evident. Boro are building, don't knock them for that or for doing it the right way.

Luke, Middlesbrough fan: The boys have stage fright. Plus technicians like Cazorla are running rings around our midfield pair. Just have to accept they're better players, but we don't like losing so I fancy us to come out stronger in the second half.

Sorry about that, been discussing Woody Harrelson's filmography.

This game has half an hour left, it's an absolute stroll for the Gunners. It may even be a chance for Chuba Akpom to get a run out.

  19. Postpublished at 17:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Woody Harrelson in the crowd! What's he doing there? What a legend.

To be honest he looks utterly, utterly bored. The game has gone a bit flat Woody, I'll give you that.

"Totally and utterly cynical. Gabriel has had very little to do but he got himself absolutely square to Adam Reach then. It was a yellow card."
