Patrick van Aanhot with the ball of the match. It's little more than a clearance helped over the top but it finds the Bradford defence on the turn and flat footed. Adam Johnson gets there first and tries a first-time lob. It's the right idea and looks like beating Ben Williams - but a Bradford defender gets a slight touch on it to turn it away.

Bradford win a corner after a few minutes of heavy Sunderland pressure. Vito Mannone flaps horribly at it but he gets away with it - very edgy goalkeeping from the Sunderland man.

There are just over 24,000 at Valley Parade. Excellent support from the League One side. The majority of those inside are now just 35 minutes away from celebrating a huge win.

It has been a slow start. Bradford goalkeeper Ben Williams is understandably taking his time with every restart. Kill that clock.

Adam Johnson remains a livewire but he also remains wasteful. Again he beats his man to find a yard of space but he shoots from a tight angle and fires it into the stands.

Sunderland on the front foot but they need to be.

The players are out warming up at the Emirates. Middlesbrough have gone with a very attacking line-up again this afternoon. The contrast in pitches between the two games is massive. The Emirates is immaculate. Valley Parade is a mess.

"It's been such an absorbing half. Bradford have been outstanding and could have had another goal to show for it.

"They have played with tempo and they have exerted pressure on Sunderland. They have been unable to compete.

"But Sunderland have had that chance with Steven Fletcher so it has been compelling to watch."

BBC Sport's Peter Scrivener at Valley Parade: "Bradford leave to a standing ovation. Sunderland have had their chances but their long-ball tactics are not troubling the Bantams' back line too much."

Sunderland had 48% of possession in that first half, they had three shots on target and one very angry manager.

For all of Bradford's gusto, they actually only had one effort on target.

Away from the FA Cup, Sunday could deliver some scintillating Spanish football with two La Liga giants hoping to stay the pace with leaders Real Madrid.

There are two live text commentaries starting with second-placed Barcelona v Levante, which kicks off at 16:00 GMT and then Celta Vigo v third-place Atletico Madrid.
