James: Burnley, with all respect, are punching a bit above their weight in this league. But I'd much rather watch them play with great spirit than watch an established Premier League team like West Brom consistently celebrating a 17th-placed finish.

"Without being a great footballing showcase from a technical point of view, both teams went for it until the very last minute and it has been a pulsating game. A great spectacle for the neutral. In the end the draw was a fair result. But if West Brom had started a bit quicker they could have taken all three points. They were only adventurous after going 2-0 down."

You've got to doff your cap to Tony Pulis after that. Burnley were dominant in that first half, but West Brom kept going to the end and might have nicked it.

"It has been a really exciting last few minutes. End-to-end stuff. Burnley have been coming on strong again, looking to take on their markers and get the ball into the box. But West Brom are still producing chances. The best of those have been from set-pieces but Saido Berahino just came very close, with Tom Heaton making a tremendous save."

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2015

And another chance... Saido Berahino taking advantage of Jason Shackell's defensive slip and taking aim from six yards out but Tom Heaton somehow gets across and makes a point-blank save. Late drama.

Ooohh... he's almost nicked it at the death. A low ball comes in from James Morrison and Saido Berahino pokes wide from eight yards out. Close, but no cigar.

Burnley won't need reminding that Palace came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in their last home game at Turf Moor...

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2015

Now it seems like Burnley are building up a bit of a head of steam and the Clarets are unlucky not to be awarded a penalty when Ben Mee's cross comes in from the right and Gareth McAuley handles the ball. Mike Dean says no, but has he got that one wrong?

George Boyd has switched flanks now and he's set off down the right wing by Scott Arfield's ball. The move ends with Ashley Barnes going over in the area. Penalty? No...

West Ham have terminated the contract of England Under-21 midfielder Ravel Morrison with immediate effect.

Jack, Southampton: I remember watching the Aldershot v Manchester United League Cup tie a few years back where two prodigious young talents were brought on in the second half for United. One has just had his contract terminated (Morrison) after a string of off-field issues and six clubs in five years, and the other (Paul Pogba) is the biggest star at Juventus and the darling of Italian football, seemingly on the verge of a £70m mega-move in the summer. Just goes to show how far a good attitude can get you!

I notice that both Joleon Lescott and Brown Ideye were on the line for West Brom there, with Ben Foster looking to come for the ball and dominate his area. Something for Burnley to think about?

Now Burnley win a corner... the impressive George Boyd playing a canny cross in which deflects off Craig Dawson and goes behind. The ball is swung in and Jason Shackell's header is cleared off the line by Joleon Lescott.
